Another fun and beautiful story by Lola. Vampires, sirens and other creatures make this such an awesome read. Lola has such a way with words and the stories she weaves are so addictive. Always love reading Lola's books.

Blaire and Damian.

Loved it! The narrators did a good job.

Blaire is a siren who at a supernatural club meets Damian who is a vampire he lets her feed on him and he ends up biting her and finds out she is his blood mate. Blaire and her sisters are on the run as a leader of a wolf pack wants to claim one of her sisters. At one point Damian is looking for her and she ends up at his compound seeking refuge for her sisters from the wolves. Damian tries to convince her to be his mate. I found this to be cute, funny and hot. I love how Blaire is feisty and mouthy and won't cave to Damian no matter that he is a vampire king and everyone else bows to him. Love how protective Damian is to not only his clan but others to especially Blaire and also how possessive he is💖💖💖🔥🔥🔥😍.
I look forward to Clementine's story I heard a preview at the end of this book and Blair's other sisters stories.

Wow, I was drawn into this world faster than I could blink. A sassy siren, a possessive but fair male royal and lots of chemistry. Throw in some really fun tropes and next thing I knew, I was already halfway through it and hooked.

I found it funny though and while I wouldn’t consider this a RomCom, there was a lot of bickering that amused me.

Overall:
The writing could be a bit stronger (excessive usage of a singular phrase in one scene, and it ended very abruptly), but this ultimately has all the makings of a great read.

Would be open to reading more from this author, based on this first experience.

This was my first Lola Glass book, and won't be my last. It’s the first installment in the Mated to the King series, a spicy enemies-to-lovers romance. Blaire and Damien’s story is sweet, passionate, fun, and entertaining. Blaire, a siren, is beautiful, smart, sassy, and supportive. Damien, a vampire, is enigmatic and protective. They’re opposites who truly complement each other. The world-building is captivating, and I really liked Blaire’s sisters — I’m excited to listen to their stories next! Lauren Barrie and Lucas Dixon did a great job bringing this story to life. #PFPAudio

This is my first book by this author. I really enjoyed the story with the different characters and the dynamics. In this first book, we have Blair, who is a siren, and Damian, who is a vampire king. I really enjoyed the banter between them. It was a really cute, fast-paced story.

The narrators did a great job bringing them to life.

An intriguing paranormal world I cannot wait to delve deeper into. I am new to this author, and to be honest I am picky about my PNR, and Lola is definitely one I will look up previous books for. Damien and Blair have the typical beginning when fated mates are unwillingly thrust together (at least for one party)... refusal to let it be anything more than the mating, refusal to actually catch real feelings. But of course those nasty love feelings rear their heads. Damien is actually all-in in a way that makes your heart melt-luckily melting Blair's heart as well. There is some danger and suspense, but I was engrossed by the world building and want to see more of this world. I also enjoyed all the humor, and I am smiling now just thinking of the text chain.... which you'll have to read/listen to learn more about. Narrators brought the story to life.

I really liked Blair she is so strong and trying her best to keep her sisters safe. They are sirens which means they are being hunted by each faction of the supernatural for different reasons. Blair needs to make a deal with a vampire to keep her family safe. It’s got the forced marriage trope and some pretty well. Though both of these characters are very stubborn. It’s a quick listen with a good amount of spice. I’m excited for how things will go for the other sirens and kings. It was a lot of fun to listen to.

The story is great and well worth the read. The audio should be done duet style but sadly it is not. The female narrator does a horrible job with multiple female voices. The only way she makes Ivy's voice different is by whining. No one wants to hear that. Talk about cringe. The male narrator did a great job. I can't say I would recommend the audio as it is. It's very so-so and it's all because of the female narrator and sadly she does the majority of the work. It's bad enough that I'm not going to listen to the second book.

I enjoyed this story. It's sorta a feel good story with a happy ending. The narrators do a great job telling the story. I look forward to listening to the next book in the series.
