About this listen

#1 New York Times bestselling phenomenon Nora Roberts—“America’s favorite writer” (The New Yorker)—begins her Loving Jack series with the story of an author enamored with her own imagined hero meeting a man who ignites her desires in reality.

Three months of solitude in a gorgeous secluded summer rental home is the perfect atmosphere for Jackie “Jack” MacNamara to write the novel featuring the man of her dreams. She only wishes that her rugged Wild West cowboy existed.

Then her reverie is interrupted by Nathan Powell, he’s a mild-mannered architect who is perplexed that his house has been rented without his knowledge and expects Jack to leave. But Jack’s not about to let her work be disrupted—unless she can convince her handsome host that fate has brought them together for a romantic adventure greater than fiction.

Apologies Trump Revenge

Don’t miss this members only sale. It’s one of the best that the author has written. Short, but very uplifting and fills your heart.
I loved this book when Ms Roberts first published it. Ms Dawe makes the wonderful dialogue of CAN DO spring to life.
This was one of the authors earlier works before she cranked them out one after another. So you can appreciate the authors, true great writing style when she wants to write an uplifting story and character.

liked it

So this wasn't my favorite. I'm not sure if Nora Roberts is losing her edge or just keeping things clean. The performance was great thought. I did like the book, it just wasn't one that had me, so I didn't want to put it down.

You took me there

From the narrator to the author, I was taken to a whole other place. Nora Roberts has an amazing descriptive storytelling way. You definitely chose the right narrator as well.

Another good one!!

I love this series! The way Roberts made the first book a novel from a character in the second book in the series was ingenious! I can't wait to read more.

Very little connection to Book 1 of series

One dimensional characters and thin plot. The characters actions make no sense. One of the worst of Nora’s books.

This was not my favorite

Somehow this did not seem as good as most of Nora Roberts books I've read. Story was a big simple and predictable.
I wish Nora Roberts would do more stories of people in their 30’s or even 40’s since they also fall in love and the plots/ stories could have more complexity

Fun and entertaining. Depth of characters.

As always, I love Nora Roberts books. Jack was as a wonderful, quirky character. Loved every description as viewed by Jack.

Not exactly a continuation of book #1

I purchased book #2 of this trilogy only to realize that it’s not a continuation, and not only that, but is basically a modern version of the same story at book one. So not only is there no continuation, but the story itself it’s a repetition of the 1st. The performance was good, but lots of pauses as if reading instead of performing the book.

Not my favorite read

Enjoyed the departure to a western in book 1, and was not captivated by the twist in this book. Love the author, but not a fan of this series.

Trying to finish....

I really enjoyed Lawless but this is not a continuous story. I don't like leaving a book without finishing it but I'm struggling here. The beginning was not terrible enough to keep me interested but somewhere around chapter 7 I'm finding myself bored and tired of the characters, story is dragging and the "issues" feel repetitive. I even drifted off and somehow didn't need to go back to find my place. I cannot connect with the characters, I feel nothing other annoyance that this story is taking too long to finish.
