What a great book to gain understanding!!!

The reader did an excellent job of relaying the author's story. I learned so much about the mindset of an addictive person. I never understood why people in my circle who have struggled with drugs or alcohol and why they do what they do. If you have never had an issue, this is a book to gain knowledge. If you are struggling with where to start in your Sober Living journey, this is a very simply way and place to start making life changes. I have been the recipient of a coworker, who said some very critical things to me. Years later, we ran into one another in a grocery store and she said I was one of her apologies that she needed to make and it was fortuitous that we ran into one another by happenstance. I hadn't realized the importance of that event, but the peace it gave her showed immediately on her face. Like she could close a door that had been open way too long. Maybe it is that time for you to Love Living Sober?

Community is key

The perspective of this audiobook on recovering from addiction is encouraging because it prioritizes optimism and strength over hopelessness. Melding anecdotes with helpful pointers, the author's passionate prose combats the stigma associated with addiction. It featured prominent stories of miraculous transitions to sober life. This audiobook offers several important teachings, one of which is the healing power of community. Even though it's a memoir, it serves as a source of inspiration for individuals going through the process of rehabilitation.
