Consistently thought this book was intended for tweens. I'm not even sure if, with the exception of the adult scenes, the tweens would have been entertained. Maybe this is a book better read with your own head voice.

Narration sounded juvenile.

The narrator made impossible to get past the first chapter. Usually love Carly Phillips, but I couldn’t get far enough in the book to see if it was good with the questionable narration.

Narration was terrible and the story was boring. I usually love Ms Phillips books but I had a hard time getting through this book.

Should have saved my time and ears by reading the book. The narrator put me off with her less than male voices. I was sure I was listening to a girl speaking when Derrick was front and center. Other than fast forwarding the audio it seemed forever before I got to the end. . In fact I skipped thru and fast forwarded lots of time, it was that bad.
Read the book. Better time management for sure.
