went into all of the Demi gods, the roots, and the background in a pleasing narrative.

Good for beginner introduction but....

If you are looking for more in depth knowledge on Lucumi, this is not where you will find it. It gives a good general knowledge if you do not know anything at all. Surface level. With that being said, the person reading is BUTCHERING words left and right. She doesn't even pronounce "Lucumi" correctly. It was really rough making it through this book because of the complete butchering of words. Even the word "Gris-gris" was pronounced wrong even while acknowledging it was a French word. If they could just have the person reading, do a bit of research on pronunciation maybe this could get 4/5.

Bad Performance

Some general good information. Though as an olorisha I found some information to be not all together accurate. The reading could have been better and the pronunciation of Lukumi names and phrases was atrocious.

The worst narrarator i've heard!

The narrator sounds like she's reading for an audience of totlers. She single handedly rained this book which I would have at least given it a 3 stars rating. I hope Amazon or the authors chose the narators wisely!

To me: limiting and no strength! #Righteouness

For this to introduce an understanding to someone about Luccumi, may take another thought or rewrite...I guess. 52y in

Great info Performance is terrible!

Way to make an interesting subject and make it simply annoying and hard to listen to,
I had a very hard time listening because of the tone used narrating it. What was that?? were you thinking you were talking to a 3 year old?? wow!! just wow!!! I almost feel offended that anyone would think this is even appropriate tone to use on an audible, whoever made that executive decision should be fired and the lady narrating should simply stop!!
