Get Intimate: The Workshop

Explore sensuality and true intimacy at the luxurious Color Canyon Resort. Private assignments include sexy "homeplay" and more….

The setup was simple. To ferret out a blackmailer, FBI agent Ryan Vail and his partner are going undercover as a couple at an intimacy retreat. But when Ryan wakes to find a replacement "wife" in his bed, he knows he's in big trouble….

FBI agent Angie Wolf is on the job. Sure, there's a wicked attraction between her and Ryan, but they're professionals. Touching, kissing - it's all part of the sting. But the intimacy retreat is doing its job, because each tension-filled night in bed is blurring the line between truth and lie. Now this investigation has turned into one irresistible temptation!

I was shocked!

I am not a cop romance type of girl let me tell u... I love fantasy, paranormal romance, but this was actually really really good. I was shocked.

The blurb pretty much sums this book up so I won't go into too much detail like I do for my paranormal romance reviews, but I will say the build up chemistry between Angie and Ryan was pleasantly surprising for me.They are undercover cops on a intimacy retreat operation sting so they were actually supposed to show chemistry. The problem for these two is neither one of them could get over the fact that they were on a job which only makes this book so much better. I was really shocked. Now like I said earlier, I get into paranormal fantasy romance way more than this cop stuff so I really couldn't follow along with all the police jargon about who did what and why it was done, but that did not take away from the story for me. The story was good but the overall will never be above a 3 for me unless a demon from the underworld comes out of the shadows and take a little nibble or two on the neck of a highland lass if you know what I mean. Other than that... this was well worth the listen/read. I would even say a good buy/credit.

Narration was actually really good too. I loved Ryan's voice. Madeline did a great job with him. I was shocked. There was not a lot of variation of voices like there is in paranormal fantasy but you could tell each character was different. It was good.
