took a minute to acclimate to the narrator, but it happened. good character development. not sure where the next book is going to go, but willing to see.

i slowed the narration down a bit, she reads a little too quickly for my taste, and after that i was hooked. the twists at the end you really don't see coming and yet they make perfect sense and are great tie-ins. im ready for the next book!

This is a fantastic Urban Fantasy series. I read and listened to Magic Hunter over the weekend, and I absolutely loved it!

This book was action packed from start to finish and I was just amazed at the character and world building.

Rosalind tge MC is training to be a member of the Brotherhood as a demon hunter.

Then Caine a powerful Shadow Mage shows up just on time to save her life and simultaneously turn it upside down by revealing that Rosalind is not what she thinks she is.

The overall storyline is excellent and the characters were well developed and likeable.

I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I love the slow burn between Rosalind and Caine it feels like a natural and believable progression and it makes me eager for more!

This was a very fun book to listen to.. I enjoyed the character development and plot line. The struggle of the main heroine is one we can all relate to.... self identifying... what makes us the person we are and who we would be if our beliefs were in question... my only issue is that the narrator needs to be slowed down otherwise you can’t understand what is being said... if you slow the speed to 75% then it is at a fairly decent speed even if it’s a hair slow in some spots...

Really enjoyed this book, Rosiland takes a little getting used to but I think it was a bit the narrator's voice and her tendency to be a space cadet at certain times. Different take on vampires and demons..with the way it's written I was a little unsure if vampires and demons were considered the same or just under the same night god. Loved Caine, Tammy and Aurora-all the side kicks were fun and I'm hoping to see more of Malphus in the next book. The narrator's voice just grated on my nerves. She did a great job with the male character voices but she ends her sentences with a little sigh type sound that..uggg...nails on a chalk board.

What made the experience of listening to Magic Hunter the most enjoyable?

The story was awesome and I loved the characters. I did not want to pause or stop listening! I was able to go back and listen again if I felt like I missed an important piece of the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love a kick butt heroine. Rosalind is a fantastic character. She is compassionate, loving, trusting, and a great fighter. She is not afraid to protect her friends and I love that about her.

What does Laurel Schroeder bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Laurel did a great job with all the different characters. I love the different voices she used for the women and men.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I really had a hard time stopping to do other things!

Any additional comments?

This is my first Audiobook and at first it was difficult to focus on listening, but once I got into the story it was fabulous. I could listen in the car. This gives me a way to "read" all the time even if I am cooking, or driving.

This is a good story. The MC is a little annoying and self righteous, holding on to her stupid ideas but it's because she's been brainwashed. I'm hoping she'll get better in the next book as she's now realized the people she used to be a part of aren't as good as she once believed. Caine is hot and interesting and I'm excited to see where their relationship goes.

Good start to the series.
