Aggie Underhill is made for a fun read

Aggie and her friend Betty relocate from England to the US to be closer to their families. The normal issues of a transatlantic move are complicated by a gaudily decorated condo, a death and a haunting! Aggie is determined to solve the mystery. Michelle Ann Hollstein knocks it out of the park again with her quirky characters and witty cozy mystery. Trish Elliott is a wonderful narrator who makes it easy to identify each character’s unique voice. This series is definitely a winner!

A bright story about murder and mystery

I got a kick out of the erotic decorations of the flat. The descriptions of the scene were ample. The dialog was tongue in cheek at times, but that made Agge the character she is.
The substance of the story could be dark at times but was presented in such an upbeat matter, it never got dark. There were enough twist and turns to keep you interested, and Agge's friend kept her guessing to add a bit of tension.
I'm losing my eyesight because of macular problems so this is my first audio, so I didn't have phrases or paragraph highlighted. Still, I enjoyed the book and the lively narration.

Feels great to be back!

It feels great to be reading another Aggie Underhill story again! What was I waiting for? 🤣
I'm really not sure why Betty and Aggie are such good friends but they are... and the 2 of 'em together are just a Hoot!
In this novella the "girls" are relocating from the UK to side by side bungalows in Palm Springs just to be closer to their families... and of course they immediately stumble upon a murder mystery, if you've read any of the books in this series, you'll know that Aggie won't be able leave it alone!
I found Trish Elliot to be a pretty good narrator, my only complaint was in the beginning she sounded a bit rushed, but that seemingly disappeared as the story progressed or I forgot about it as we got used to each other. I suppose I could have just slowed down the playback a touch (now that my husband reminded me of that feature on Audible... duh!) But, really in this case, that was unnecessary!

Maid in Heaven

Aggie is supposed to get a clean break by moving to a new town closer to her daughter, but the mysteries seem to still pop up right in front of her and she feels compelled to solve them. I enjoyed this book so much and am excited to see more in the future.

Lots of laughing!

Oh, my goodness, I laughed so hard when Aggie walked into the condo she bought sight unseen! She hired Roger, an interior decorator, to decorate both her and Betty's condos. Roger said he decorated based on how her perceived each lady's 'inner most personality'. Well, Roger's idea on what Aggie's personality made me giggle throughout the book! Meanwhile, Aggie finds a murdered woman and ends up kidnapped. Oh, and she meets a man who becomes interested in her. Is she ready for a new romance?
I listened to the audiobook version of this book and, once again, Trish Elliott does a fantastic job! I hear all of the emotions of each character in her voice and that is not easy to get in a narrator! I can't wait to listen to them all!

Aggie's Haunting Mystery

Aggie's move to be closer to her put her right smack in the middle of a dangerous but comical mystery along with her friends Roger and Betty. I enjoyed this mystery because it encompasses everything from comedic errors in decorating to murder for hire. The characters are quirky, believable, and fun. The storyline is well written with aspects of quirkiness, comedy, danger with a hint of romance. Trish Elliott does a stellar job narrating. I highly recommend this book. I received this book for free in exchange for my honest unbiased review.

A quirky comical adventure, indeed!

I enjoyed this cute quick mystery. Author Michelle Ann Hollstein leads us on an unusual and whimsical murder investigation. Filled with eccentric and witty characters, For most of the book, “Maid In Heaven” was well-narrated by Trish Elliott. My second audiobook by Hollstein, it certainly won’t be my last. Recommended for a lazy afternoon.
