About this listen

Gotrek & Felix Book 9

Gotrek and Felix are reunited with an old friend and plunged once again into deadly conflict against the forces of Chaos. But with saboteurs at work aboard their airship, the pair must discover a traitor before they plummet from the skies.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

Old friends and new challenges await the infamous duo as they try to unravel a mystery – not Gotrek's strongest suit – that threatens to destroy them and doom thousands.

THE STORY

Gotrek and Felix: unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between, and depends entirely upon whom you ask…

Reunited with their old friend, the insane dwarf engineer Malakai Makaisson, Gotrek and Felix travel once again on his mighty airship The Spirit of Grungni as they head north to join the war against the vast hordes of Chaos that threaten the lands of men. But when a series of suspicious accidents threaten to end their journey prematurely – and permanently – it becomes clear that saboteurs are at work. Gotrek and Felix must work quickly to find the culprits before it's too late.

Written by Nathan Long. Narrated by Jonathan Keeble. Running time is 10 hours and 18 minutes (approx).

Another banger

These books just keep getting better. I laughed so many times from the interactions between characters. Jonathan Keeble is stellar as always.

Excellent

Nathan Long is doing a great job writing and there’s no better narration than Keeble provides.

Trouble is exactly what i want.

Volume nine. If you've gotten this far you know just how great this series is. Of the later books this one is one of the more interesting as a premise, as well as having a few good looks into both gotrek and felix's past. Johnathan Keeble does a bang up job as always, and Nathan Long is still holding his own this long into the series.

The book does has a small bitter feeling, which is translated well by the characters and Johnathan. Overall, i recommend the book quite highly if you are a gotrek and felix fan. It's far from the best of the books but again, the series as a whole standards are so high that it truly isn't saying very much!

Review

Enjoyed the story I believe it is well written with great story arch. Can not get enough of Gotrik and Felix and their adventures. Many twists and turns. Mr Keeble is one of my favorite Narrators and has his on style of bringing all the characters to life. Particularly Gotrik. 5/5 thank you Mr. Long for writing these novels.

Awesome!

This is another winner in a long line of winners. The story is complex and interesting, showcasing the roster of characters that has been built up over the years. Throw in some riveting action and Jonathan Keeble doing his typically amazing job and you've got a recipe for success. Can't wait for the next one, even though I've already read the next book.

I love these books. I miss these two. it's nice to go through these stories again. I feel sad when I listen to the age of sigmar gotrek stuff. it feels like it's lost all heart.

Rip Roaring Book

Great book full of blood, guts, chaos worshippers, and the best duo in the Warhammer Old World.

Man, slayer

I liked the novel like I have all the others in the series, Johnathan keeble being an amazing narrator as always. The story just seemed a bit more dulled down than normal and the villains more stupid and boring than usual. kinda felt like filler but all the same I always enjoy some Gotrek and Felix. Having our favorite Ratty menace Thanquol back is always fun and I look forward to the next book!
