Publisher's summary

FBI Agent Kristin Webster has spent the last eight years tracking and taking down the worst of humanity. She’s seen too much to believe she could ever trust a human man, but the promise of a perfect match through the Coalition’s Interstellar Brides Program has her settling into the testing chair to be matched to her alien mate. But her match isn’t a male from a distant planet, but two scarred Prillon warriors on the Colony. And when warriors begin to disappear, Kristin will take matters into her own hands.

Captains Hunt and Tyran have been waiting too long for a mate to allow her to risk her life chasing evil. But their defiant little human won’t listen. They are determined to tame her, claim her, keep her safe...no matter the cost.

Really enjoyed this erotic emotional story

They always have strong female characters that stand up for what they want. I love the erotic scenes as well as the hive battle ones. Great overall for fans of smokin hot. Good narration by all.

Story -good, Narrators - very very bad

Even though sometimes the story will be familiar with the other stories the authors always makes the effort to make it slightly different. That's why I loved all of them. Well, except for the performance of the narrators, in this particular story the male narrators sounded either someone chocking them or squeezing their jewels. I swear, they're already not that good at their parts but it made them worst when they try to sound like the female character. It's really horrible especially when the female is ready to cli.ax, she sounds like a gay whining instead of sounding arouse.
This one belongs to my horrible narrators , not to listen to it again.

I liked it

Good story with a strong female lead. I lived that she owned her strength, stood her ground, and made her overprotective males respect her ability. The overprotective mates were pretty great also. More battles with hive and the continued hunt for the traitor. Looking forward to the next one.

Much Better!

I have to say for everything that almost turned me off to this series in this set of connecting stories from the first book, this second story was a total turn around for the better. The heroine this time totally rocked! She asked the questions, said no, got mad and definitely kicked butt! It gives me hope that the rest of this series won’t just be a non stop obsession about double plugging a woman with emphasis on the rear portion of the female character although this book still mentioned it more than I’d like to hear about lol ( but seriously) any who I actually enjoyed this story and hope you will too. :)

Good

I enjoyed the story but felt there was a lot we didn’t get to know about Kristen. There was brief mentions but I would have loved to know some of her backstory.

Cyborg menage romance!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙❤️💚💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: ☺️🙃😳
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Kristen - she is an FBI agent who has seen it all, she has chased the worst kind of criminals in the human trafficking decision, and has had her fill of humanity, so she decides to sign up for the interstellar brides program, hoping to find a match out there somewhere in the universe who will hopefully treat her much better than humans seem to treat each other.

The Heroes: Hunt, Tyran - Both were captains in Earth’s forces but had been captured by the hive and now they are cyborgs. The only place they are welcome is on the Colony, a sort of prison planet for cyborgs that had once been slaves of the hive and now have contaminated Hive tech as part of their bodies. They are no longer slaves to the hive but much of the universe is wary of them due to the tech that is now ingrained within them.

The Story: Hunt and Tyran were in charge of processing new arrivals at the Colony. Nobody wanted to be there, especially after being tortured and experimented on by the hive. Though since their home planets no longer wanted or accepted them after being held by the hive, they had no choice but to stay on the Colony. Since some of the other inhabitants of the colony had found mates through the interstellar brides program, many of the other males were full of hope for their future, including Hunt and his second, Tyran. Though after weeks went by without any more matches, hope began to wane.

I liked the two guys quite a bit. Tyran was silent after what he went through in the Hive custody. He was always second to Hunt, so when he found that their bride was matched with him, he was over the moon and it wasn’t long before he started speaking more. He wanted to claim Kristen the minute he saw her, not even wanting to wait till they got assigned new quarters. This was a pretty steamy story. Tyran was dominant and liked kink.

This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Ava Lucas, Teddy Hamilton and Leon Nixon. Teddy Hamilton is one of my favorite male narrators with a deep, but soft voice that is just terrific. Ava Lucas has a clear, feminine voice which is very pleasant, and I don’t think I had heard Leon Nixon before, his voice is not one of my favorites and his narration style isn’t as polished as some I have heard. Though I like the fact that there was a different narrator for each main character.

Good addition to the Colony series

I have read or listened to many of the author's books in all of her series and in my opinion The Colony series is the best. Some of Grace Goodwins stories are simply filled with too many chapters of spankings and honestly it gets a bit comical rather than steamy after a while lol. So when her stories include a good plot, I take notice :-). Well read audible, especially the female narrator!

Love Grace, but…

I love the Grace Goodwin books, all of them, but it would be nice to finally get some cultural diversity interjected into the Interstellar Brides Program.. there are sooo many different types of beautiful women walking this planet. A little research would definitely help in building a awesome heroine..

Need more diversity Grace, please…
