Great gift
I chose this book for my son who is a D1 college athlete and I listened to it as well. I thought it was great. I am sure this book provided some much needed advice to my son and other teens. Sometimes kids just don't want the advice from mom or dad! I highly recommend this book!

Motivating for any teen!
Great narration and audio quality! This goes beyond just mental toughness by covering mental health, emotional well-being, self awareness, patience and resilience! Very much needed in our society today. Would love to have heard more stories or research of success by teams that relates to the advice and topics!

All of us need this information
I love books for teens. I think teens need more support than any other age group. Any new good book to add to our knowledge bank and understanding of teens' life is very valuable in my opinion, especially, the ones for young athletes due to the pressure put on them by their age, environment and sports environment.
"Mental Toughness for Teen Athletes" has a good grasp of the most important aspects of the subject such as athletes mindset, focus, habits, understanding and leveraging emotions and more. The book breaks the information into narrower segments like the importance of sleep, resilience, confidence, positivity and more. The part about self-awareness was my favorite. I believe everyone needs to reflect on this information, regardless of their age.
Real life examples (like Michael Jordan) provided in the book are very important and very relatable.
If only we spoke about topics discussed in the book more with our teen athletes and teens in general, we would understand their feelings and emotions better and would be better equipped to help them with their struggles.
Very good book and great narration.

GREAT PREP!
Great advice and demonstrative examples of things young athletes can do to prepare themselves for participating in competitive sports. Mindset, focus and psychological preparation are key elements covered. Love that Michael Jordan and his winning record was used as an example of how to be psychologically and emotionally prepared in launching himself to the top. (Unlike one major basketball player in current times...)

Great book for young athletes with big aspirations and still motivating for adults as well. loved bonding with my nephew over this audioboook on our long ride up to the family cabin. We always do a shot-gun's choice for audiobooks on the drive and he won this round and im so glad he did. Such a gem!

Your personal sports psychologist!
As an advocate and professional in the field of mental health, this book is spot-on in the advice and tips it offers to teen athletes in the way of cultivating grit and mental toughness. One of the biggest lessons offered is that taking care of our wellbeing and developing mental toughness is a learned skill and something to manage; it’s not something that happens overnight and taking baby steps is a-okay. Also, that we don’t need to run or hide or shy away from discomfort, but we can manage it and learn from it. This book is a practical guide, as promised. I also enjoyed the narration. Bravo!!
