A mermaid and a dragon!

This was an interesting read. I am trying to think if I have ever read a romance between a dragon and a mermaid and I don’t think I’ve ever read one. So that was exciting. But this book did take awhile to get into. Almost half the book was Argun( the dragon) and Cirona trying to escape a prison of some kind. And a lot of that was them trying to figure out if they should help each other or not. So that was tedious. But the second half of the book was great! So I do recommend this one but you do have to push past some boring parts. And I will say that their dialogue during the boring parts was pretty funny.

The narration was okay... it wasn’t my favorite but it wasn’t terrible either. The only real issue I had was that there wasn’t a difference between characters which makes it hard to follow sometimes.

Mermaid’s Destiny

Magical creatures at its finest. These two are definitely on opposite ends of the scale and yet they are able to find equal ground to fight black magic. I enjoyed this book and the narration was done really well to help bring this book to life.

A Beautiful fantasy.

Cirona and Argun have been captured by an evil wizard he plans to take the mermaid and dragon magic for his own dark magic. They were able to escape but the dragon has suffered an injury so now he is only in human form with no magic. Cirona changed to human form also in hope to blend in and to continue on their escape. Cirona and Argun do have a hard time trusting each other and work together but there is attraction. This is a unique and very intense piece and there is a cliffhanger. I read and listen at the same time it was outstanding and looking forward to the next installment. Beverley Murray was splendid as the narrator. High praise for this work I highly recommend this book.

Incredibly great story.

Incredibly great story. I truly delighted in it. I cherished everything about this book! Impeccable tune in for a sluggish fall day. I truly loved this book. I was home when I was toward its finish. With him, you can't turn out badly!

Trust Issues

Mermaid Cirona and Dragon Argun are both head strong, stubborn and proud. When they're captured they have to work together to get out of tight situations. Problem is, trust doesn't come close for either of them, and their loyalties and focus couldn't be more different.
Once they've escaped the cages, they need to work together to avoid the black magic that tails them constantly and it wants more than they want to give.
I wouldn't say there isn't an HEA, but I wished for a different HEA....maybe in book 2?
Beverley Murray narrates this interesting story or inter-racial species working together allowing you to believe the characters are working in an alliance.

Not my cup of tea

The narrator was good. However, the story was... not what I was expecting. The book felt like it was geared for grade schoolers.

Mermaid’s Destiny

Enjoyed getting to dive into this new world. They had to learn to work together and relay on each other. The book ended very different than I was expecting.

Good audiobook.

Can two very different species of peop!e, animals, fish get along and like each other? After being taken, they both had to work around how to get out of their predicament in their own ways. Do you trust him, do you trust her, what should they do?. It was a real magical fight!
Definitely an intriguing listen.

Mermaid versus Dragon

Ancient enemies that have a LOT of history which does not make trust possible. Sadly, trust is necessary if either one is going to get out of this situation. Of course, that amount of trust leaves the reader hoping that both will get out at least mostly safely. The barbs that fly between them do show that there may be more than just the past between them.....

The narration was great with character distinction and emotion bringing depth to the story.

Bottom line: This is the BEST way to spend an afternoon on the weekend while you can concentrate on the great story.

Too stubborn = Too long, still good

This is actually a great story, but for me it could use a bit of s trimming.
The characters main trait is that they are both stubborn, and the moral message it that one should try to trust a bit more to work together and solve problems but sometimes it's a bit too much. After all most of the first part of the book is them locked in their cages.
The narrator is perfect with her accent. She really conveys the high breed of the couple, even when they get really annoying. :)
It's still a great story with an interesting world building. I'm looking forward to see what's next in the serie, even if the book ends with a happy ending for now.
