Publisher's summary

Behind our therapy methods and interventions, behind our day-to-day interactions, lie feeling attitudes - “metaskills” - which strongly affect our work and lives. Amy Mindell created the concept of "metaskills" to show how awareness of feeling skills transforms our work into an artistic and spiritual experience. Using a series of examples, anecdotes, and case studies, Amy demonstrates how metaskills can make all that you do more effective.

Deep Teachings for Healers of All Kinds

If you are a healer or body worker who doesn't know how to describe what you do because what you do is so varied and in the moment depending on your client's needs, this book will be an enormous help to understanding how to describe and deepen what you do. You are a process worker! I love this book and will listen to it many times to receive the deep teachings herein. The narrator has a, warm, kind, zen like tone which reflects much of the book's heart, but her reading could have been a bit more varied in all the ways a voice can vary. That is to say, I think increased vocal variation would have been a better transmission of the deeper, expressive layers of this book and would also have made for a somewhat more enjoyable listening experience.
