Diets and endless calorie counting never did anything positive for me. I was stressed and felt guilty whenever I exceeded "my number". It's just not natural!
In the end I picked up this book and I'm so glad I did! Mindful eating truly is an art. I feel like I'm repairing my relationship with food and feel better about myself already.
It's basically all about appreciating healthy food and all the good stuff healthy food triggers in my body - healing, energy, nutritional fuel my body can thrive on. Then it's about connecting with my body in a positive way, being grateful for all the hard work it does to keep me alive. It's a completely different way of approaching food and the process of eating, and for me it just feels much more in sync with what nature first intended.
I also liked the chapter on mindful eating strategies in social settings.
Overall an amazing, compassionate guide I know I'll keep coming back to a lot! Mindful eating simply works, in a gentle, much less invasive way.
I wish everyone knew about mindful eating!

This audiobook offers practical strategies for practicing mindful eating, it talks about the theory and ethos behind the practice, and how to cultivate other areas of your life to optimize your results.
The narrator is even toned and easy to listen to, without droning on and losing the listener on a given subject. For anyone looking for a unique and alternative method to weight loss, who is open to mindfulness practice/meditation, I would definitely recommend this title.
