Amazing

It wasn't until the very end that I literally almost started crying. He knows exactly what to say to make the gospel come to life if fantasy form.

Excellent story of friendship

The characters are so real, and Dave Cruse brings them to life. I shudder when I hear Cytheral's voice and thrill at Spry's.
The story brought tears of joy and sorrow. such a beautiful telling.

Compelling and gripping

This is another great book in an enjoyable series. The villains were particularly chilling and well done, and the world building remains creative and entertaining.

Enjoyable Read

I'm not sure why, but this book was not a page turner for me. I enjoyed the listen, but it really failed to capture my complete attention. It was well written and most of the characters were appealing, but I'd get tired of listening at times. It might be the brutality and evilness of the antagonist characters. With that said, I am looking forward to the next installment.

As to the narrator, I think he might be the best I've ever heard and I've listened to lots of audio books. His ability to voice different personalities, even females, was amazing. I do have one issue with him and that is his singing. It's pretty weak. As a matter of fact, I've never heard a narrator sing in such a way that I didn't cringe. Audio book readers should NEVER sing IMO. Even with decent voices, the melodies are always uninspired. Unless you get a profession songwriter/singer to do it, just read the words and I'll put the melody to it in my imagination.

The Fantasy Must Continues!

There are great fiction writers—
And then there is Wayne Thomas Batson.
There are masterfully woven tales—
And then there is the Myridian Constellation.

Don't get hung up on the label "Christian fiction".
Even without any Christian affiliation, I think you'll find that this series rivals the best of them. A tale so intricately spun, yet so quickly progressing that you savor every word like a poor man visiting a 5-star restaurant.
Wayne Thomas Batson is the absolute king of descriptive writing. With writing that completely immerses you into this other-world, the imagination has never had it easier!
Jump on, and hold tight for a fantasy ride that traverses worlds and adventures reminisce of Tolkien's tales, but are their own wonderful and unique creation!

As for the audiobook- there simply could not have been a better narrator for this series than Dave Cruse. Imagine Gandolf narrating LotR. That's almost the level of epicness Cruse brings to the series! You can almost imagine an old, bearded historian surrounded by overflowing bookshelves in some castle tower dusting off and opening an ancient tome whenever he begins to read. His rendering of this story is certain to benefit in the area of immersion!
