About this listen

New York Times best-selling author Stuart Woods returns with another absorbing thriller.

President Will Lee is having a rough week. His vice president just died during surgery. Confirmation hearings for the new vice president are under way, but the squeaky-clean governor whom Will has nominated may have a few previously unnoticed skeletons in his closet. And Teddy Fay, the rogue CIA agent last seen in Shoot Him If He Runs, is plotting his revenge on CIA director Kate Rule Lee - the president's wife.

Plus there are some loose nukes in Pakistan that might just trigger World War III if Will's diplomatic efforts fall short. It's up to President Lee - with some help from Holly Barker, Lance Cabot, and a few other Stuart Woods series regulars - to save the world, and the upcoming election.

Not For Kids!

At the start a child came on and said Children's Audio or something like that and I sure didn't think this was a kids reading material. I also thought when it was over I missed downloading the second part and had to check and make sure there wasn't more to it!

This is an engaging story. There are many engaging characters. Suspenseful and enjoyable. Fun to hear.

Female readers in a book that is primarily male

Why do not audiobooks use male and female readers in the same book.

I think the male and female voices in a book would have more variations.

Dave. Ps I have listened to 80 plus books.

Horrible attempt at Southern Accent

Loved every audible book by Stuart Woods in this and related series. Except this one, and only because of narration. As a Southerner, the southern accent attempt was distracting. Narrator should have just read the book without accent. She made the intelligent educated characters sound like Gomer Pyle. If not for the horrible accent attempts, the reading would have been reasonably competent.

Rapid "what the heck happened" ending

I enjoyed this addition to the Will Lee series. however I felt like the ending was a bit phoned-in.

Loved it!!!

A great combo of Woods' characters into a great story. The narrator was excellent.

Mounting fears

It was disappointing to have a different narrator from the previous Will Lee books. I don’t think women can emulate a man’s voice properly and the change from previous Will Lee books took away from the pleasure of this one….especially the fake southern accent.

Cut too short.

Ending has to be a lead in to a sequel otherwise it didn't work. Love the characters. Hate the narrator. She cost you a star

Ending was abrupt and uneventful

All sexual details that were gross and unnecessary the author seems to have sex on his mind all the time
