Old Time Radio
About this listen
Radio's longest-running private detective wasn't a smart-mouthed, gun-toting wise guy. He was the gentle, dignified, soft-spoken Mr. Keen. Bennet Kilpack stars as the intelligent investigator in this 16-episode collection.
The "kindly old tracer" didn't get into gunfights with thugs on foggy waterfront nights, he simply solved crimes...with a dogged determination. And he was always accompanied by his dense-but-loyal sidekick Mike Clancy (Jim Kelly). Join them as they uncover secrets and crack cases.
Episodes include: The Case of the Boy Who Used Big Words 02-10-44; The Case of the Leaping Dog 04-13-44; The Case of the Woman in Blue 06-15-44; The Case of the Absent Minded Professor 03-15-45; The Case of the Glamorous Widow 05-23-46; The Case of Murder and the Bloodstained Necklace 09-15-49; The Yellow Talon Murder Case 09-22-49; The Case of Murder with a Thousand Witnesses 09-29-49; The Silver Dagger Murder Case 10-13-49; The Case of the Ruthless Murderers 10-27-49; The Forgotten Cave Murder 11-03-49; The Case of Murder and the Jewel Thief 02-09-50; The Case of the Melody of Murder 03-09-50; The Case of the Murdered Detective 04-06-50; The Eccentric Millionaire Murder Case 04-13-50; The Broken Window Murder Case 05-25-50

Larry Dobkin co-stars as Louie the Cabbie in these digitally restored and remastered tales that find Templar sailing, skiing, and delving in to the disparate worlds of mining, baseball, prizefighting, mystery writing, and more. "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!" A figure never seen, only heard, the Shadow was an invincible crime fighter. He possessed many gifts which enabled him to overcome any enemy. Besides his tremendous strength, he could defy gravity, speak any language, unravel any code, and become invisible with his famous ability to "cloud men's minds". Along with his team of operatives, the Shadow battled adversaries with chilling names like The Black Master, Kings of Crime, The Five Chameleons, and, of course, The Red Menace.

Story
Candy Matson was a response to all the hard-boiled detectives on the radio, like Philip Marlowe, Sam Spade, and Pat Novak, and all those other detectives who were beaten up on a regular basis. Candy, played by Natalie Park, was hard-boiled in her own way. She never compromised her femininity, but she did know how to use a gun and didn't hesitate to use it when it was necessary. She didn't take any guff from the guys - the good guys or the bad guys. With a snappy comeback, she could take anybody's head off.

Story
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Story
Sloan will go through hell and back for those she loves. And she does so, every single day. Caught up with the alluring Asa Jackson, a notorious drug trafficker, Sloan has finally found a lifeline to cling to, even if it’s meant compromising her morals. She was in dire straits trying to pay for her brother’s care until she met Asa. But as Sloan became emotionally and economically reliant on him, he in turn developed a disturbing obsession with her—one that becomes increasingly dangerous every day.
