Publisher's summary

When Kat Denham decided it was to time to become a licensed private investigator, in addition to her successful career as an author, she never expected her first case to take her to South Africa to investigate the murder of a member of the US Trade Commission.

Talk about trial by fire! Not only does she have to navigate language and living condition barriers, but she also has to walk a very fine line not to upstage the investigation by the local Cape Town police officials.

Ladies of the night, gamblers, old feuds, and jealousy make for a lot of suspects, but finding which one did it is the problem. It’s a good thing people like to talk to Kat. It sure makes solving murders a lot easier. And it might just make for a good book for one of her steamy romance novels that she writes under the pen name of Sexy Cissy!

Join Kat and her family as they look for the murderer and discover the beauty and allure of South Africa. Who knew elephants would let you pet them?

This is the 12th book in the Midwest Cozy Mystery series by a USA Today best-selling author.

Great story for the armchair traveller!

Murder in Africa is #14 in Midwest Cozy Mystery series by Dianne Harman. Kat Denham gives up her amateur sleuthing and gets her PI license. Her first case in investigating the death of a US trade representative in South Africa for the US State Department’s Embassy. Kat and her family travel to Capetown and as she’s investigating others get murdered! Its a terrific story with lots of twists and turns. The narration by Bill Bird was very good and his speech and pronunciation was clear. The South African accents and inflections can be intimidating but Mr. Bird did a good job.

Enjoyed it

I have enjoyed several books by this author and Murder in Africa, a clean cozy mystery, was no exception. The details of the African setting, sites there, and the food were vividly described and the characters were fun to follow. The narrator gave a nice performance.

Kat is a PI!

Murder in Africa is Book 12 in A Midwest Cozy Murder by Dianne Harman. Ronald and his assistant, Julie, are at a US Trade Show in South Africa. Unfortunately, Ronald is murdered and the US State Department needs help solving the murder. Kat and her family goes to Cape Town for her first PI job. I have found that any book written by Dianne Harman is always interesting and has lots of action. I enjoyed the narration performance of Bill Bird. I found that his voice really brought the story life. Murder in Africa is a wonderful cozy mystery and I was happy to be able to listen in one afternoon.
