The Jacobite Rebellion - not the best time to get drunk, hook up with a guy, and lose your sister.

A drunken bet....

When computer game designer Traci Campbell gets too close and personal with a bottle of Glenfiddich while vacationing in Scotland, she whisks her kilt-obsessed sister back to 1689 to prove hot guys in kilts are a myth. Hello, hundred bucks! But all bets are off when she meets Iain, the charming playboy in a to-die-for kilt.

Wrong place, wrong time, wrong name....

Iain MacCowan regularly falls in love at the drop of his kilt. The mysterious red-haired lass with the odd accent is no different. But when his new love is discovered to be a Campbell, the most distrusted name in the Highlands, his dalliance endangers his clan's rebellion against King William.

It's all hijinks in the Highlands until your sister disappears....

Traci thinks men are only good for one thing - thank you, Iain! - but when she awakens once again in Ye Olde Scotland and her sister is gone, she must depend on the last person she wants to spend more time with. He wants to win a heart, she wants to keep hers, but can these two realize they're meant for each other before the Jacobite rebellion pulls them apart?

Fantastic time travel romance with a sext Scott!!!

Loved this story! Not only was it a fun read, but I liked the character developments as well. Also some very steamy scenes with a hunky Scott!!! Mart Jane Wells does a magnificent job again as a narrator!

Excellent time travel highlander romance!

Any additional comments?

Looking for something to bide your time away until the next Outlander novel or season on Showtime? Look no further! Must Love Kilts is fun, well written, and filled with highland romance. It is the third book in the “Must Love” series by Angela Quarels and the first book in the series where two sisters are transported back in time.

The story begins in present day with our heroine Traci Campbell and her sister drinking a bottle of Glenfidditch while vacationing in Scotland. Traci's kilt-obsessed sister wishes she could live in the era when all men were hunky in kilts and Traci believes that hot guys in kilts are a myth. Before you can say "Jacobite Rebellion" the sisters are transported back to 1689 Scotland to see for themselves.

Just when Traci thinks she won the bet, she meets Iain MacCowan, a handsome playboy who knows he's God's gift to women. They soon engage in drinking games and in a bit of bed sport (which Traci can't remember but thought was no more than a one night stand). When she wakes up, she can't find her sister and she panics. The rest of the story is about Tracy trying to find and "save" her sister with Ian's help, which is overshadowed by the distrust of his clan who think Traci's a spy.

I listened to the Audible version of this story narrated by Mary Jane Wells, who was simply outstanding. She narrates as if there are several different actors being used, and has a spunk and lightheartedness that many narrators lack. There are several good laugh out load moments, and the flirtatious tension between Traci and Iain is very believable. And the romance and sex scenes were sensual and very steamy. Simply put, this audio was nicely done and I can't wait for the next Angela Quarles book narrated by Mary Jane Wells!!

Alot of Fun

Enjoyed it very much...romance scenes weren't as graphic as I've come accustomed to (which to my surprise was refreshing ) yet the story didn't suffer. The narrator, Mary Jane Wells was delightful as always!

Time travel romance

I love the narrator- Mary Jane Wells. Her voice is perfect for the men and women voices. She makes the story even more exciting.

The story was great. Loved the chemistry between the characters. I was so mad when it ended and found out that the next book isn't out until June. That is way too long to wait! Marking my calendar now! If you love time travel romances you will love this series!

I look forward to more books from this this author!

A fun, thrilling trip back in time

I love this series! Angela Quarles wrote another fantastic novel, and Mary Jane Wells performed it so expertly. The narrator is just as great at sounding like hot Scottish guys as she is at sounding like modern American women. I adore how the author incorporated just the right mixture of humor, danger, vivid characters, and nuanced matters of the heart. FYI, there are a few love scenes that are moderately steamy.

Ian is a wonderful multi-faceted character with hidden vulnerabilities. Tracy is a modern woman who has certainly made mistakes. They both seem like real people, and they both grow during the book, and I admire how they improve themselves. I also appreciate how well the author researched the historical setting, culture, and the details of daily life. I heartily recommend this audiobook and the entire series to every fan of time travel romance who likes a bit of humor in their audiobooks.

Yet another enjoyable romp through time!

Please note that I received the book for free in exchange for an honest review. This did not influence my opinion of the book.

This was an enjoyable book for me. I didn't quite connect with the heroine as much as in previous books. However, I liked her most and her interactions with the hero. From the beginning there was a spark between the two as well as some nice lightheartedness. Although they had difficulty expressing their feelings verbally, their actions spoke loudly and clearly.

I also quite liked that the author is delving a bit more into the time travel aspect of the series with a few new characters. Traci's sister was an integral part of the story, leading into the next book quite nicely. I look forward to reading the next one as well.

As always, Mary Jane Wells did a fantastic job with the narration of this book. Her Scottish accents sounded quite authentic and she was able to different between a number of male characters. This is something that some narrators struggle with.

Overall, an enjoyable listen!

Whoa there lass, I have ya! SWOON

Hunky, charming flirt Ian stole my heart! I laughed out loud as the sparks flew between Ian and Tracy. His winks and grins, his muscle flexing, even his naked butt in the fire light!

I loved Must Love Breeches, but I listened to Kilts twice in a row. I "sampled the wares" more than sampled! Ian - only say the words and I'll be by your side, or across it, or on it which ever way you desire. Wink, seductive wink!

I love Mary Jane Wells male voices. especially when they are steamy and low. The American girls are fast speaking and annoying but I thoroughly enjoyed this fun romp to 1689.

Cute Story

Neatly packaged story. The narrator is becoming a favorite. The volume of the audio at times made it difficult to hear when she was lowering her voice for certain parts. I'm not a fan of effects on vocals in audiobooks.
