Quite boring

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Not for me personally-- the questions are pretty basic and easy, and I hated that there were no rationales for any of the questions. Rationales! Every question I have ever answered has always come with a rationale, even in audio form.

What was most disappointing about Key Points Prep Team’s story?

Three things-- the narrator, the pace (a bit quick, but if you're looking for a rapid-- and I mean rapid-- review, this is for you), and the lack of rationales.

What didn’t you like about Adam Zens’s performance?

His voice and performance was robotic. I would have preferred a more conversational tone in addition to rationales, like he was telling a story or talking to an old friend about psychiatric nursing. Psychiatric nursing is more exciting, more riveting, and more eye-opening than he makes it sound.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No, it would just be a robot quickly reading off of cue cards.

Any additional comments?

This might be nice for someone looking for a rapid review when doing ADLs, but I would prefer a narrator who is more engaging. That there were no rationales for any of the questions was infuriating, and left no room for conversation. In addition, this audiobook also references the DSM-IV instead of the DSM-V, and it does have questions related to the multi-axial system (which was removed in the newer version). If you do decide to brave the boring, be aware of outdated information that may be in this audiobook.

Helpful test prep for the NCLEX.

Would you consider the audio edition of NCLEX Review RN/PN to be better than the print version?

Yes, because listening helps to cement the information into your head better. You can listen when you can't read anymore. You can listen while driving or doing other things. Study while cleaning. What could be better?

Who was your favorite character and why?

There are no characters in this book. It is test prep for the NCLEX. There are 1000 questions and answers covering things from anxiety disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse, and everything that would be on the test.

Which character – as performed by Adam Zens – was your favorite?

Again, there are no characters. Adam Zens has a pleasant voice and is easy to listen to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely not, although you could if you were cramming for the test.

Any additional comments?

This is a great resource for studying for the NCLEX.

Awful

Narrator reads in a monotone, robotic voice.
The questions are NOT NCLEX style questions.
This is bonehead pseudo-nursing information.
Don’t waste your money or your time

I hate this book

I hate this book so much because he reads too fast and there is no rational behind the answers. In some of the test prep books they read slowly and give you a chance to pick an answer and then give you the reason why each answer was right or wrong. This book, by the time I've thought of the answer he is on to the next question and I've missed the answer. I wish I could exchange this book
