About this listen
The nanonetwork has been upgraded. I can still access the nanobots...but when I do, it leaves the host unconscious.
Transferring their mind into the nanoswarm. Dr. Archimedes Flat is expanding his nanoverse. Collecting minds to craft a new "utopia" forged from collective memory. He believes it's the next step in human evolution. And, if a few people have to die to make it happen, well, in his mind that's nothing more than the survival of the fittest. If I'm going to stop him, I'll have to fight him in the nanoverse itself. But, Flat designed the nanoverse. He's it's architect. The god of his digital world. How can I possibly defeat the maker of the nanoverse from within his own creation? After all, in the nanoverse, Flat makes all the rules.
Nanoswarm is the second book in Theophilus Monroe's Nanoverse, an action packed dystopian sci-fi thriller series. As a former soldier, suffering from PTSD, Brian Goff is not only a threat to the new system, but his very injury has given him control over the nanobots. Like Neo, in The Matrix, Goff is an unlikely hero whose "technomagic" makes him the the last hope for human liberty, freedom, and justice.

Story
Nanovax was supposed to be our salvation. Death and disease, now obsolete. Until the terrorist attack. Fifteen cities in a single day. Again, they said Nanovax was the answer. The same technology meant to heal us could now be used, through an algorithm, to track us, to predict human behaviors...to thwart future terrorists. I'm Lieutenant Brian Goff. I received the first injection. It healed my wounds. I became the face of Nanovax. Then the algorithm identified me as a terrorist. Now, I'm fighting against the technology that once saved my life...and the government has my daughter.

It had been almost a century and a half since I last encountered anyone from the Order of the Morning Dawn. They were religious fundamentalists with the dual goal of eliminating vampires and witches. Being both a vampire and a witch, I was the embodiment of everything the Order hates. Their first attempt to eliminate me failed. Story
I'm Hailey Bradbury, hedge witch and vampire. My sire was staked moments after I was turned. As a youngling, the Voodoo Queen took me in. She taught me her art. I've been working with the new Mistress of the Vampire Council. She trained me in the ways of vampirism, the path of the night. Witchcraft plus voodoo and vampirism equals what I call bloodwitchery. Most witches won't mess with the power latent in blood. It's dark. It's dangerous. But if you can master it...you can harness the power of life itself.

Enter a cruel palindrome world: a symmetric place where disturbing situations displace the common; where good acts transmute to evil ones; where windows and mirrors are interchangeable. Within, characters influence each other through macabre arrangements of involuntary happenstance, and learn the inevitabilities of coincidence. A segmented story of a mother and daughter intertwines the others.

Maine doesn't like her father. It doesn't help that he's a troll. As in a literal, lives-under-a-bridge troll. When her father is killed, Maine returns home to settle his estate and learns that he wasn't any ordinary troll, but the town hero. Seems trolls can be superheroes, too. When Maine inherited her father's Mantle, she got more than a demonically possessed magical cape that reveals one's weakness. She also inherited several busloads of mythical adversaries. Thanks, Dad!

Better than the First
3.5 Stars for Nanoswarm by Theophilus Monroehe. The world-building in this second book is much better than the first. The plot is well thought out and captivating. The character's back histories are complex and interesting. I did prefer this one to Algorithm, the first book in the series. Once again another interesting book by Theophilus Monroehe!

A 4 1/2 star techno-thriller
Nanoswarm: A Dystopian Sci-Fi Technothriller (Nanoverse Book 2), my thirteenth read from author Theophilus Monroe. My first read from author Theophilus Monroe was Algorithm. I’m glad to read the second book in the series. Another well written & enjoyable read/listen. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Miles Meili 's narration adds to the enjoyment of this book. I look forward to my next read from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

The Fight for Freedom gets complicated
Received as a review copy from Story Origin; received also as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review.
This hauntingly brilliant sequel that is once again masterfully narrated by Miles Meili absolutely succeeds in escalating the dynamic intensity that was just beginning to unfold in the first book.
Archimedes Flat was already an enemy that was a danger to the Resistance becomes truly more a threat as his plans unfold that have such deep ramifications if he succeeds. Brian Goff and those of the Resistance endure in this book was not only brilliant in how utilized but was also crazy in what happens to the group as they challenge Archimedes. Poignant and wondrously profound... Highly recommended.

Exhilarating with Superb Narration
Nanoswarm is a fantastic addition to the Nanoverse series, a cleverly written science fiction thriller. The worldbuilding is quite creative with a fascinating and engaging premise. The storyline is fast-paced, exciting, action-packed, exhilarating, and unpredictable; it kept me thoroughly engrossed. The characters are well-developed, intriguing, and totally awesome. My attention was captured from the very start all through the end. The ending was terrific; I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.
A stellar performance by Miles Meili; he literally brought the characters and the story to life. All and all, Nanoswarm is a well-written dystopian sci-fi and definitely worth the listen. I'm strongly recommending this audiobook.

very impressed with the series.
I could hardly wait for book 2! This series has really captivated my curiosity and attention. The writing is so intense it actually makes you feel like this could happen at some point in time maybe sooner rather then later and it is both brilliant and a bit scary..
This series highlights all the what if's and has q deeply dystopian vibe! Totally love it and I can't wait for the next book.
Absolutly phenominal writing it never ceases to amazed at this authors creative and fasinating world-building. The characters are realistic, and intense as well as likable or hateable lol. I love the in-depth development of each character and how they fit into the overall dynamics of the story and world.
The battle scenes are engrossing and impressive in how vividly they are described I feel like I could litterally be in the thick of it...
I definitely recommend this series I woukd honestly go see this as a movie or TV series so good! The narrator does a fantastic job bringing the book to life!
