About this listen
The enemy has learned how to replicate in the nanoverse. His plan remains the same; to usher in the next chapter of human evolution and to convert all of humanity into a digital species, inhabiting a digital world.
The government has fallen. The resistance is in turmoil. If I'm going to save humanity I have no choice but to destroy the nanoverse. But, can I do that without also destroying myself?
Nanowar is the fourth book in Theophilus Monroe's Nanoverse, an action packed dystopian sci-fi thriller series. As a former soldier, suffering from PTSD, Brian Goff is not only a threat to the new system, but his very injury has given him control over the nanobots. Like Neo, in The Matrix, Goff is an unlikely hero whose "technomagic" makes him the the last hope for human liberty, freedom, and justice.

Story
It had been almost a century and a half since I last encountered anyone from the Order of the Morning Dawn. They were religious fundamentalists with the dual goal of eliminating vampires and witches. Being both a vampire and a witch, I was the embodiment of everything the Order hates. Their first attempt to eliminate me failed. Thanks to the fact that my mentor in the craft was also a necromancer.

Being possessed has its advantages.... Sure, my soul-bound familiar could be a pain in the ass, but she came with some pretty impressive abilities. A nasty voodoo demigod, a loa of destruction, wants to steal her power. Ogoun, the loa of war, has invited me to join the Voodoo Academy. If I master the arts, he tells me that I might have a chance to thwart the demigod's scheme. But can any of these "gods" be trusted? They all have ulterior motives. And I won't be a pawn in their war. But if I don't stop him, if he steals these powers...he could destroy the world.

Story
Maine doesn't like her father. It doesn't help that he's a troll. As in a literal, lives-under-a-bridge troll. When her father is killed, Maine returns home to settle his estate and learns that he wasn't any ordinary troll, but the town hero. Seems trolls can be superheroes, too. When Maine inherited her father's Mantle, she got more than a demonically possessed magical cape that reveals one's weakness. She also inherited several busloads of mythical adversaries. Thanks, Dad!

Humanity's existence in two realities
Received as a review copy from Story Origin; also received an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Narrated by Miles Meili, brilliantly brings this realistic dystopian series to grand and memorable conclusion.
This harrowing and immersive series keeps getting better and deeply complex... Nanowar is the best book yet. The government may have been brought down, yet The Resistance hasn't been to its knees; even as Flat forces the team on the run and Brian Goff to take control of zombie armies Flat sends out to impede the group. The war to decide of whose agendas and dreams to control everything takes place in the nanoverse... a haunting world of illusions and dreams; delivering a brilliant memorable ending to this profound series. Highly recommended

A well-written short read from a good author
Nanowar: A Dystopian Sci-Fi Technothriller (Nanoverse Book 4), my eighteenth read from author Theophilus Monroe and the concluding book in his Nanoverse series. Another well written & enjoyable read/listen. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Shorter in pages & number of volumes yet not in enjoyment.than his other series. Miles Meili 's narration adds to the enjoyment of this book. I look forward to my next read from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018)
