Les deux tomes suivants - Napoléon 1&2 partent de l’instant où, le 2 décembre 1804, l’Empereur, accomplissant son premier geste de souverain, ceint d’une couronne le front de son épouse. Ils se terminent le 15 décembre 1840, quand les cendres de Napoléon, rapatriées de Sainte-Hélène, pénètrent sous le dôme étincelant des Invalides.
