Publisher's summary

He's crazy for her . . .

Vaughn Tucker is the hot playboy drummer of the Tucker Brothers band, whose four albums have all hit number one. Vaughn is drop-dead gorgeous . . . and completely out of control.

Gigi Hayes's life is a million miles from packed stadiums and high-profile tour schedules. She's a small-town girl who spends all her time working in the library and studying to become a qualified social worker. For . . . reasons.

When Vaughn meets Gigi, for the first time in his life, he's the one who's star-struck. But Gigi is saving herself for true love. And even though she's drawn, against her will, to the beautiful, trouble-written-all-over-him superstar, she's not deluded enough to believe he's capable of such a thing.

Vaughn has already fallen hard. And Gigi's refusals only make him crazier. She's an angel and he may as well be the devil himself. But when heaven meets hell, all bets are off . . .

Nashville Nights is a sexy standalone rock star romance starring an out-of-control musician and the one woman who's everything he never knew he needed.

3 stars

This is a tough one to rate for me. I typically adore Julie Capulet books and I DID enjoy the majority of this story. I love obsessive MMC's and this MMC is obsessed with the FMC. He falls first and he is relentless in his pursuit of the FMC. I enjoyed their interactions and their chemistry was palpable.

The last quarter of the book threw some cold water on my enjoyment. First, the FMC running away and not communicating with the MMC was immature and disappointing. She, without meaning to, caused the situation herself by leaving the MMC's hotel room propped open and then, without giving the MMC a chance to explain anything, ran away because of the words of strangers. The lack of respect for the MMC, to not even give him a chance to explain, especially since she is the one who left him vulnerable to unwelcome guests in his hotel room, left a bad taste in my mouth.

Second, I feel like the FMC should have encouraged the MMC to stay in rehab for therapy instead of convincing his family to sign him out. It's not like it would have been for months. It was going to be two weeks. Since the MMC had real addiction issues, the loving thing to do would have been to lovingly encourage him to complete his two week rehab stay.

Overall, I'll give this one three stars. I enjoyed most of the story and liked the characters, but the couple issues I had with the direction at the end pulled this down from a five star to a three.

Amazing Listen

This is my first book by Julie, and it has been on my TBR since it was released. I finally got to the audio to listen to it. And I fell in love with these characters.
Vaughn and Gigi are the best. Vaughn struggles with his own demons, and Gigi helps him with facing them.
I loved the instant connection these two have and the love at first sight that Vaughn gets hit with when he sees Gigi for the first time.

This audio may be one of my favorites I have listened to. Teddy could read the phone book, and I would listen. He brings this book to life with his voice and emotions. Desiree is amazing as always with her narration! She brings the character to life in the best ways.

I am diving right into the next book! I love these Tucker boys!

LOVE TEDDY HAMILTON

I liked a lot of things about this book. The character, Vaugh struggled with his illness and the cause of it, he held on to his guilt because of the tragic death of his parents, I liked his siblings, the roles they played added to the story, careers and a closeness between them. I don't want to write too much it takes away from the story for others. The lead female was different for a rock star story. She was independent, strong and knew what she wanted. The offer made to her from Vaughn, to join him on tour she refused following her own dreams.
Narration: Perfect!!!
Cons: The author's work was good, but her repetitive description of Vaughn: his eyes, a god, on and on. I did fwd several times, eye roll. She did the same repetitive with the lead female. Ruined some of the book. NEEDED A LOT MORE OF TEDDY HAMILTON!!!
