About this listen

As a Christian man navigating divorce, I looked everywhere for a book that would guide me through the process, and I couldn’t find one. On some level, it seemed like Christian publishers felt a book like this might encourage divorce, and they didn’t want to go near that. I get it, and I want to be clear from the beginning that my intent does not include telling you your divorce is a good thing. It’s not. God wants your marriage to be restored and rebuilt. But, living in a fallen world, I do know that even if that is what God wants, and what you want and are fighting for, that outcome is not guaranteed. I believed that God could redeem marriages, and I prayed diligently that he would restore mine, but in my situation, that did not happen. I was left feeling defeated, broken, and like a failure. And, the fact that there were no books that spoke to Christian men like me who had fought for their marriages but still lost made that feeling worse. Navigating Divorce for the Christian Man is my answer to that. Through scriptures and the sharing of my own very personal journey, this book is my gift to men just like me who fought for their marriages but did not find restoration. I’ve been in your shoes. I’ve experienced your pain. I’ve felt your anger and sadness. And I’ve experienced God’s grace and power during that battle. This book is for guys like me who fought for their marriage, for their wife and their kids but still lost it. It’s for guys who battled and did everything they could but woke up one day divorced. It’s for guys who felt like failures because they now showed up at church all alone with the stigma of being a divorced Christian man. This book is for guys just like you. That’s my intent – to give you the book that I wish I had when I was in the middle of the battle, wondering how this was all going to end. I hope you find my story and this book to be encouraging and uplifting. There is hope for you, and if you’re a dad, for your children. There is peace for you in the midst of the chaos and wreckage. There is life beyond your divorce because God is good and He loves you. This book is my thank you letter to God, and my way to bring you confidence during the most trying time of your life. For each man who reads this, know that I am praying for you daily, that you would feel God’s presence in all things. If you’re reading this now, know that I wrote this book for you.
