A galactic war. Two unfathomable foes. Three lovely ladies to unite the Trinity of species.
Years after discovering the blue-skinned Vori, humanity finds the Zapri. Small problem. The Zapri are swindlers with tails. Their trading habits and ability to produce halflings brings humanity to the brink of civil war.
Graduating trading academy, Gaius sets out to utilize his new skills and increase his crew as strife runs rampant. Obtaining his first clunker of a ship, optimism soars high. However, his adventures quickly teach him that the Galaxy holds many challenges, wonders, and threats.
Warning: Contains intense action, an MC faced with hard decisions, adult situations, and untraditional relationships.

First up I'll say it's entertaining if a little wishy-washy storywise. It's a popcorn book. There are some issues in execution of the world building but otherwise a decent listen. The performance is great so far. No particularly annoying voice decisions to speak of. If you care to know my specific qualms continue on.
Some people might think that calling something juvenile a bit silly within this genre but it's true. I know these characters are very young (after the major timeskips) but the attitude Guy has towards his relationships is so "first thought". The princess orgasming from a handshake was a little much as well. If I just wanted good sex scenes there's literotica.
The non-sex related stuff seems to breeze by. Guy gets told about his aura and related prophecy and he just accepts it and moves on. The group's plans shift subtly towards preparing for this vague threat with no questions asked about the direct source of this prophecy, why a random Vori doctor would react to it, or what his aura actually means for him outside making a harem.
A bit more on the aura because it is a particularly annoying point. The brightness bit is easy to follow. It's basically the same as the current version of the charisma score in that he has a larger than life presence. So far, so fine. The black-white scale acts as a trust scale while colors are emotional/principle cores. White is trusting and honest while black is distrustful and deceitful and grey being described as indifference but presenting as stiff logic. The Nebula Lord (Guy) supposedly has every color represented. That's an interesting thought but how could that possibly be represented as a personality. I can only imagine an automaton with complete personality control or an extreme emotional disorder. I know it's a little silly to get hung up on this but it is an important plot point given its the title of the book and it makes no sense. It doesn't even make sense as a benefit other than giving a in-world reason to explain the harem (as if there needed to be a reason).
If you can ignore bad science in an action movie then you're good to go. This works pretty well as a time sink. Otherwise, there are better sources of smut out there if you're willing to look.
Almost too juvenile
