I’ve never been a Daddy before, but now it’s all I want to be....
I’ve always thought Kinsey was hot AF, but now that I’ve come to know him, he’s so much more than a super sexy silver fox. He’s kind and caring and so damn courageous.
He’s also vulnerable and needy, and it lights me up like nothing else. I know I’m 20 years younger, but I want to take care of him.
I want to be his protector, his strong man, his knight in shining armor.
I want to be his Daddy.
New Daddy at 47 is part two of a duology, an emotional and yummy romance with an age gap, loads of hurt/comfort, and a beautiful Daddy/boy relationship that ends with an HEA. It also contains themes of addiction and religious homophobia.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, John Solo continues to deliver an outstanding performance, bringing these characters and their story to life. He has a complete understanding of the characters he portrays, gives each a voice that fits that character’s persona perfectly, sounding believable in every role he plays and just as I picture the character to sound. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures the characters’ emotions and projects them into his performance and has you feeling every single one. John Solo is an entertaining storyteller and versatile voice artist, his narration enhances an already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen, it is always a pleasure to listen to your works.
Compelling & Beautifully Heartfelt! Exceptional 🎧📚🎧

This was one of John Solo's best performances in my opinion. He didn't get too dramatic except when the scene really needed emphasis on the emotions of the characters. I loved his growly voice for Benoni - gave me shivers!
Happy listening to a two book series

It's nice to read a book that one of the MC has problems. Doesn't start off smoking hot

Ben’s character is really great. He is caring and patient with Kinsey. He gives him the space to find his place while he recovers.
The narration was not my favorite. I hated that he made Kinsey sound so weak and whiney when as a Dr., in recovery and overcoming his past, we know he is a strong. His voice for Ben was much better. I did enjoy much of this book but others were just too cringe worthy for me.
Mixed feelings

There’s a lot of education about religious homophobia and opioid addiction and recovery, with a little gay history thrown in. This could be good for someone who doesn’t already have an awareness of such things. I absolutely believe learning the histories and struggles of people different from ourselves is the key to ending discrimination. However, this nearly-48-year-old gay woman found all the preaching and teaching tedious. The information could have been more cleverly woven into the storyline.
There is a bizarre tie-in to characters from the Perfect Hands series. If there are more stories written in this series and the Perfect Hands connection is strengthened, it could be a nice way to expand the world and have a large group of interconnected books, characters, and storylines. As it stands it comes across as an attempt to bait readers into buying another book (much like splitting this one did). The random meeting of a couple from another series was not in any way integral to this story. It could have been any random meeting of random new characters and would have worked exactly the same in this story. I guess time will tell if it is a clever start, expanding this world, or a shameless cameo to make people buy books.
John Solo did what he does. He’s a decent narrator. The material he was given to perform was not the best.
Bottom line, I was looking forward to this story and found myself being disappointed by it. Both parts 1 & 2 are necessary, making it a more pricey selection, and all the telling/teaching leaves the storyline lacking.
This was the better half of the story
