About this listen

Seven strangers. Two hours. One tragic moment of violence that changes everything.

In this electrifying short story by New York Times bestselling suspense master Jeffery Deaver, the destinies of seven strangers intersect in ways no one sees coming. It looks like just another gray March morning in the tough urban district nicknamed Nowhere when seven lives converge: a young man intent on buying a gun; the gangbanger who cuts him a deal; a by-the-book police officer on a last patrol; an advertising executive keeping secrets from her husband; a veteran haunted by a combat death; a single dad in a bitter custody battle; and a sharp-looking businessman en route to a new job he desperately needs. Any one of them could have a dark motive. Any one of them could be walking into a trap. When the fog lifts, it will all be much clearer - that a single, shattering act of violence has marked each of them forever.

All in an early morning.

I loved how the story showed how the lives of 6 people became one story.

It started slow, worth listening to, engaging not a waste of time.
Should've been longer

Beautiful little story. I really hesitated at this but thought the price was right. Very uplifting. Thank you, Mr Deaver.

A Long Time Fan

This short story took me by surprise. From the beginning, I thought that I knew what the story is about. Boy did he throw me for a loop. I knew nothing and the more I listened the more I realized that this would be a totally unexpected and wild ride. There were some unexpected moments and events. All in all, it is a great story that left me wanting more

Impressed!

Pleasantly surprised by this little story! People with different backgrounds and stories cross paths, and it may not be what you expected to happen. I read while.liatening tonthe narration and really enjoyed both.

Interesting Concept

I almost did not read/listen to this short story but I am glad that I did. Not easy to take so many characters and seamlessly entwine them into a single incident w/out losing something along the way. But, that is Jeffrey's strong suit - even his plots are "grammatically correct".

THERE'S NOWHERE TO GO!

Ninth and Nowhere is a thoughtful and introspective piece on modern day drama. Unrequited love burns on a lowly city intersection to the whispers, hum, and drums of the antagonist Jamal.

Do not waste money or time

Wrong characters considered heros. As a Marine and former police officer I did not appreciate this story.
