A good one!

If you like romance and great storyline you will like this one. . A little too many descriptive sex scenes even for lesbians but others may really like that. The reader was excellent. I enjoyed the first book of this series that she narrated and this one did not disappoint. She is so good at differentiating characters and her voice so easy to listen to.

True soulmates!

Krista only has one year of college left then she’s off to Hollywood. When she meets a little older Melanie who’s spending the summer at the lake with her two young daughters, they’re magnetically drawn to one another, and the children fall in love with Krista, too. However, the timing is just not right for them to be “out” together. It actually takes them thirty years to get it right!

The plot is wonderful and the secondary characters are just terrific. Who wouldn’t want them for friends? And the descriptions of the outings, on and near the lake, feel idyllic. This author is quite the wordsmith.

Jamey Moody writes such loving stories - perhaps lots of mistakes, but no animosity or blame - just pure love and a desire to move forward together. Her words on the page are full of love and the narrator’s voice was full of love which brought the book to life. Jamey is quickly becoming one of my all-time favorite authors. Her books speak to my heart. Krista and Melanie’s story is one this reader/listener will cherish!

First love always and forever

I loved this book when I read it and love it even more now. Amanda added all the emotions to the characters voices that I miss when I read a book. Melanie came back to Lover’s Landing to heal Krista’s heart and bring them back together where they always belonged. A truly magical journey of love and happiness.

This series just gets better and better!

I loved listening to the second book in this series. The characters are well developed and the story jumps in almost literally we’re the first book ended. (Well almost, we’re a few months past the original ending to the first book.) 😉 I can honestly say, I am very much invested in the characters and there outcome. I don’t want to give anything away, but if you enjoyed the first book, you will feel the same with this one. This book will draw you in and you won’t want to put it down. I finished listening to it in almost in one go. As for the Narrator, Amanda Wrege is once again, spot on and held my interest right up to the very end. I look forward to listening to the next book in this series. ⭐️

I haven’t read/listened to the first installment

I haven’t read or listened to the first story in the series and believe that made a disadvantage. Overall the idea of a first love finding another chance 30 years later was sweet though would love to have seen more interaction with the family unit and the connection to the children.

I listen to a lot of stories and this one was narrated more so than performed. There was no distinction between the characters which made the conversations hard to follow.
