Publisher's summary

Jesus and the Book of Acts are the standard of normal Christianity. Remember the fad a few years ago when people wore bracelets reminding them, "What Would Jesus Do?" Christians state that Jesus is the example of how to live, yet this has been limited in many cases to how we view our moral character. When Christians tell me that they want to live like Jesus, I like to ask if they have multiplied food, healed the sick, walked on water, raised the dead, paid their taxes with fish money, calmed storms, and so forth. I typically receive bewildered looks, but that's what it is like to live like Jesus!

Perhaps we are ignoring a large portion of what living like Jesus really includes. While I agree that we are to live like Jesus, "Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did" (1 John 2:6 NLT). I am also aware that the application of Jesus' model has been minimized to something that can be accomplished by living a moral life. Many Christians believe that they can live like Jesus without ever operating in the supernatural. After reading in the Bible about all of the miracles he performed, does that sound right to you?

Stunningly Stirring and Spot ON.

What did you like best about this story?

Jonathan tells great stories that keep you hungry for more... couldn't put the book down - drawing me into a desire to see the church become what God truly intended it to be ... this book does a great job of motivating the reader to push for, believe for, and step out in faith for MORE...

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The last two chapters were amazing - but thats hardly fair because the whole book was ... I loved the stories of resurrection to the point of I can't stop talking about them & I'm wondering why no one has EVER asked me to pray for that - GOD FORGIVE ME... slr

How far we, the typical believers, have gotten away from our identities.

I have listened to this well presented teaching easily over 25 times as of now and every time there is always something new that gets my attention. My one goal would be to soon walk as a normal Christian, as presented in the scriptures, and not be limited in my mind by all the various denominational blockades that have arose from all the various denominations that I grew up with. Jonathan's thoughts on so many scriptures reflect what I had believed for so long but was in many ways against what was being taught.
