Publisher's summary

Adrian would be the first to admit that his life has been filled with trouble. He would also be quick to say that he’s found a way to make trouble work for him. Over the course of time, he’s become very good at finding trouble and getting out of it when he needs to. The skills he’s gained aren’t the kind that the average person aspires to, yet there are always people out there who need someone who can get to where they’re not supposed to be and find out things one isn’t meant to know.

Which has come in handy for Adrian when it comes to helping his small pack survive the occasionally dangerous politics of city werewolves. With his skills, Adrian has made a bit of a name for himself for those who need someone talented in subtlety and covert investigation. Which is why, when another pack leader and ally to Adrian’s pack, Michael, needs someone to do a bit of quiet investigating into the disruption of his growing business empire, Adrian is the first name on his list.

As Adrian investigates the source behind the sabotage, he finds his time with Michael growing more complicated. The two of them spend more time around each other, their feelings growing from friendship into something more, and Adrian is forced to face his own past. As Adrian struggles with the fears dwelling in his heart, he finds that the past can come back in various ways, and he will be forced to choose between security and throwing himself headlong into the unknown.

Fun, Exciting Story - Well Done by Mr. James

Nothing But Trouble is the second book in Noah Harris’ Wild Hearts series. Don’t worry if you haven’t read An Alpha’s Heart, there’s very little crossover with the characters and it works great as a standalone.

We can always count on Noah Harris for an entertaining read, and Nothing But Trouble has everything I’d hoped. A bit of mystery with some interesting twists and turns, and a super exciting climax!

Adrian and Michael are a true opposites attract couple, and it’s fun watching them let down their walls and establish a connection. Plus they have good chemistry, and hey this is Noah Harris, of course the physical parts of the romance are super hot.

The audiobook is performed by Benjamin James who does a nice job with these characters. Nothing But Trouble is a fast moving story, and Mr. James keeps it rolling along.

Nothing but Trouble (audiobook)
MMy Thoughts and Confessions

It had been quite some time since I had read book one in this series. Because of this, I wondered if I would remember the characters as affectionately and if the second book would be as good as the first.

While I must confess, I love Eli and Hunter (from book one), Michael and Adrian in this story are amazing together and shine supreme as an "opposites attract" couple. The Alpha (Michael) and Beta (Adrian) have tons of chemistry, but that isn’t the amazing part. What Harris has done is take two men/ wolves, (it is a paranormal romance after all), and put them in a conceivable story. I bought every part of the slow burn romance as these two guys got to know each other. There was no insta-love here. The feelings grew as the working relationship did and even then, there was no incendiary explosion or fated-mates “aha moment” with an 80’s rock band crooning, “I can’t fight this feeling anymore.” The romance was important to the story but did not overpower the plot. Instead, the relationship felt organic as it weaved throughout the story growing and sharing the intimate moments between Adrian and Michael turning this reader into a delightfully spirited voyeur.

The story itself was good, filled with mystery, suspense, and a few twists. The only thing that left me a little bummed was the feeling something was missing in one of the “bad guys” motives for their actions. It could just be me always wanting things black or white, with no room for moral ambiguity in the end. I like my answers to motives clear and concise and I like my justice swift and thorough. I would never make a good lawyer, but I would be one hell of an executioner (in Elizabethan Times). **insert evil laugh here… muahahahahaaa…

I am thrilled to know this series is on audio. I plan to go back and get reacquainted with the guys in book one, once again, then move forward with the series.

If you enjoy paranormal romance filled with action, banter between packmates, and very sMMexy scenes between the MCs, you cannot go wrong with “Nothing but Trouble.” While it does stand on its own, I would recommend you begin with book one of the series, just so you are familiar with secondary characters who make appearances throughout the story.

The Story: 4.00 🌟🌟🌟🌟
The Narration: 3.50 🌟🌟🌟. ✨
Overall: 3.75 🌟🌟🌟. ✨

An engaging romantic suspense!

This is book 2 in the Wild Heart series but can easily be read as a standalone.
Adrian is an omega who has his own investigating business and is doing quite well for himself lately. His skills are unparalleled, so it isn't a surprise when another pack Alpha leader, Michael asks him to investigate a case for him. As he investigates the source of the sabotage and navigates dangerous politics, he and Michael are in close quarters and can't help but be drawn to eachother.
Will Adrian get a chance to explore the brewing chemistry between him and Michael, or will his past catch up to him first?

This is a sweet shifter, opposites attract romance paired with suspense and intrigue. Benjamin James did a fantastic narration as well.

M/M

Adrian has amazing investigative skills which are needed by another alpha from a different pack. Michael fears someone in his pack has betrayed which is why he needs Adrian. Adrian has the personality that is not warm and fuzzy. He uncovers many unexplainable wrong doings Michael needs to fix without alerting his pack members. Adrian finds himself wanting to help Michael solve this mess. The men are drawn to each other, despite Adrian not wanting a committed relationship. Fate has a way of changing wants.
Benjamin James narrates the book well.

tense and suspenseful with heat

I enjoyed the push and pull between Adrian and Michael and their banter. The sexual tension was palpable. Adrian's past lost love was gutwrenching. Dramatic ending. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing the characters and story to life.
