About this listen

Unjustly accused of a crime, Ky Archer is trying to keep his ranch together, with fierce tenacity and minimal help. With his nefarious accuser the lead wolf at the door, Ky is resolved to do whatever he has to in order to keep the final link with his family intact. Brodie Tyler is down on his luck—way down. Down enough to camp with his baby sister in a tent to get away from relatives he’d hoped would help him. His parents are gone and he's got nowhere to go, but he’s determined to keep his sister safe with him, no matter what.

Ky finds Brodie and Emily on his property and takes them in out of the storm… literally. Neither expects the heat that ignites between them to be as hot as the western sun. The men find they fit together well, both at work and in the bedroom. They also find they have a common enemy who tries to tear them apart. Working together, they might discover that each holds the key for the other’s desire.

Nice story!

It was my first book from this author but definitely not the last. The characters were charming, and the aunt was fire!
The story was beautifully narrated, I listened to it in a day. Must read/listen if you love cute stories with nice characters and an HEA.

Family Tale with Depth

This book was such a delightful read from start to finish! I couldn’t put it down and ended up binging it all in one go. The two main characters were incredibly engaging, and the narrator’s performance really brought them to life. I especially loved the Aunt—she was an absolute riot and added so much charm to the story. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience with plenty of moments that made me smile. I’m already looking forward to reading more from this author.

Romance, Cowboys and More!

Ky Archer is determined to save his family’s ranch, despite being wrongly accused of a crime he didn’t commit. Brodie, with his baby sister in tow, is leaving town in a nearly broken-down car, with barely enough money for essentials. When a life-threatening storm hits, Ky finds them camping on his property. Forced to rely on each other to survive, Ky and Brodie discover that their growing connection might be the key to overcoming their struggles—and finding more than they expected along the way.

The author, Andrew Grey, provides a rich narrative detailing personalities and differences in relationships and how those relationships are found in the most unexpected places and ways. The dialogue is immersive and poignant. While the narrative is simple it is moving and attention holding. He develops each character through details, actions, and dialogue. The plot twists are complete and well done.

As the narrator, Marcus Barton, demonstrates exceptional skill, delivering the narrative with a strong and steady cadence while strategically employing pauses to enhance its impact. Through varied tones and intonations, he masterfully distinguishes each character, adding depth and richness to their voices. His compelling performance creates an engaging and immersive listening experience.

This book offers a captivating blend of light intrigue and smooth storytelling, making it both engaging and relaxing to read.

Average story, boring narration

The narrator was so very boring. I think I might have liked the story better if he actually sounded like he wanted to care about what he was doing.
