About this listen
Diagnosing obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) can be tricky, but when the symptoms are obvious, the conclusion is clear. OCD is quite common, and it is important to understand it. People who understand the disorder will have an easier time communicating and interacting with those who have it.
But here is a question: Why is it called “obsessive compulsive”, in the first place?
Aren’t obsessions and compulsions the same thing?
No, they are not. And although there are similarities, this audiobook will shed more light on this question.
Also, topics will be addressed, such as how our culture influences OCD behaviors, different perspectives from scientists and clinicians, and the issue with finding the right therapy. All in all, you will get a much better comprehension of what OCD involves.

Story
OCD has often been treated with success. In most cases, this treatment simply means that the symptoms are reduced and managed effectively. OCD can be something to live with, and can even, in some cases, work to a person’s advantage. However, addictions and compulsions can also be harmful to the brain and create a wave of dopamine fluctuations that damages one’s mental health. In this audiobook, we’ll go over some specific compulsions. We’ll answer various questions and tap into the information we have about hereditary causes.

Story
When people are diagnosed with OCD, it doesn’t always come as a surprise. With others, it may be more of a shock. However, when we look at the symptoms and the influences that affect such people, it may not be any wonder that it is more prevalent than many have assumed it to be. OCD is a very real, common disorder that knows variations in severity and randomness. Some people are obsessed with cleaning, while others can’t stop double-checking locks, organizational spaces, or items.

Although treating depression, anxiety, and panic attacks cost money, it is an investment likely to lessen the considerable burden of illness on the community. In this very informative book, anxiety is explained to be healthy, but it should be noted that when discussing anxiety, it is always regarded as a general term for physical, mental, and behavioral changes. In addition, because of the interwoven signs and symptoms, the author first distinguishes the symptoms between anxiety and panic attacks.

We occasionally see a television show with a daily segment called "The Worse Person on Earth". During this episode, the correspondent selects a few persons he believes have said or done anything deserving of his arrogant scorn. Numerous mental health experts may have used the term "worst patients on the planet" to describe persons with borderline personality disorder (BPD) not long ago.

Hallucinations, everyone’s heard of them, but most don’t know the full extent and there are a lot of preconceived ideas and stereotypes out there. Emotional resilience is another thing that most people don’t really understand, as it’s not as well known. Bulimia is something that is more well known, but is the knowledge you possess accurate? Brain cancer, something no one wished existed. This guide will help shed some light on these subjects, and suggest/provide some treatment options.

This was interesting
I think OCD is an often misunderstood disorder and people who have it, have something really important to contribute. For example, I saw an episode in Scrubs (the TV series) in which one of the best surgeons had OCD. So I don't know if he was so great at what he did because of his OCD or despite of it, but one thing is sure: It's separate from a lot of people's skills and personal lives, but it's something they have to cope with and deal with the best way. The advice in this book was great. I liked it, and it sounded professional.
