Publisher's summary

The world stopped seconds after the EMP was detonated. No communication, no transportation, no power. Hundreds of millions of people are suddenly alone and afraid. An EMP story

This is another book in the apocalyptic genre. The story is narrowly focused. I liked the characters and their development and came away wanting to know more about them. I would have liked more background information on the location of the book and, also, who unleashed an EMP on the United States and why. The audible narrator was good, but spoke a little too fast. There is some vulgar language in the book, but fits the characters.
