About this listen

The decision was made.

Hunter Monroe is now the Icon known as Paragon.

The man called Infinity - nearly unstoppable, the most powerful, and fuel by rage - is dead.

The victory claimed in the wake of his death came at a price. Now a year later, the Imperial Lords are no more, and Hunter finds himself as an intern to a powerful Icon he once called an enemy.

When Hunter and his team receive a message alerting them that Impervious - their invincible leader - has gone missing in his attempts to help another world, the young Icons take action.

Now, Mo’eizus - the virus-plagued home world of Hunter’s heritage - becomes their new destination as they join forces with the rebel group known as Bravado. Old friends, rejected recruits, and powerful new allies work together as a rescue mission is planned against an enemy that is worshiped as divinity.

As they dive deeper into Impervious’ disappearance, secrets are revealed, teams are split, bonds are tested, and old foes emerge as Paragon - and his team - face a foe that even their strongest member couldn’t defeat.

Overall great story

Totally inconsistent scoring on my part having the overall higher than story. But truthfully, the story dragged a bit in places. That being said, the performance was fantastic and the story was thoroughly enjoyable. I’m definitely getting the rest of the series as soon as they come out. Also, I LOVE them using two narrators. It improved the flow and characterizations over single narration by leaps and bounds.

Big improvement

Character motivations make more sense and the development of characters is well done. Narration is great!

great follow up

The characterization is on point. There's plenty of action and world building. Continues the story well and look forward to next one.

A strong follow up

I received this for free in exchange for an honest review.

As a follow-up to Paragon this one was even better.
Strong characters which self reflect and grow, a complex villain who might or might not actually be bad, a hero who might or might not be good.
Story is well built, and the author knows how to "show and not tell". Future stories are well set up, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens.

The narrators did a flawless job, and I haven't heard the switching between male and female characters done better in a two narrator (not full cast) production.

Not as expected

A decent story! I feel like like it had 3 or more story's going on that the writer tried to end in one book, when it could have been dragged out into at least 2 more books that we would have welcomed. over all fun read but if there is a 3rd book there is no hook.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Heroes, villains, and parallel dimensions? I'm in!

I love how this sequel chenges perspective so we can get a more objective look at the world which is expanding to multiple dimensions! I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff. I love how the other world is so different from our usual world. Plus we get answers on some long running questions. The characters dynamics are gesat as we really build upon their relationships and backstories. I can't wait for the next installment!
