Publisher's summary

What’s the harm in taking a break from protecting the city for one date? Alison is about to find out....

Bounty hunter license in hand and attitude in place, Alison is ready to house-train the city’s malevolent magicals. But even a Brownstone needs a little downtime! Cleansing Seattle of the Eastern Union’s threat was hard business.

Exhausted and dripping with sweat at the gym, she collides with a man who gets her pulse pounding. Great first impression...

Courting can be tricky when you’re busy taking out the neighborhood trash and facing off assassination attempts by power-armored goons. Add in an unknown entity attempting to hack her computer and an ancient Oriceran Drow woman searching for a princess to worship. Finding time to enjoy a date quickly slips from the top spot of Alison’s to-do list.

On Her Own is the second action-packed adventure in the Alison Brownstone series.

Cast a spell to send it to the top of your to-listen list today!

Love this series Alison really coming into her own

Love this series Alison really coming into her own.

Book 1 was In my opinion a bit aggravating but then again Alison is young and impetuous perhaps because her father books Mr. Brownstone took a while building up to the strong take us character where's Allison seems to fall into things that she should have spent a little bit more time thinking about instead of running head on into.

Book 2 Definitely like this 1A lot more and book one the introduction of the elderly DROUGH. Sorry person correct spelling Stephanie a nice depth to be added for Alison's character and the half heritage for the dark elf.

By the way Mr. Michael anderly still waiting for the rest of in Mr. Brownstone's audio book series to be published so I can do some catching up.... Opps did I say I meant all of us that love this off shoot of the Oriceran Universe.

By the way Thank you Judith Berens, Martha Carr for For writing with words that a much above 4th grade level 3 nights States allying us that would like to expand over voluntary or refresh our mental dictionary/ thesaurus. Par example using the word parsimonious instead of miserly.

Thank you for bringing to life these wonderful characters.

WOW

Quite the twist this time. Like the addition of Mason and the Drow Matron. And adding mom in a fight was a nice touch. Was just as pissed as Alison over the car. Even in make believe, destroying that car was mortifying.
Biting nails for the next one.

Very fun story.

This was a fun and entertaining story.
I like Alison and Hana.

There is lots of action and take no prisoner attitudes. They get things done. Lots of magic and different kinds of species makes it even more fun.

The narration is very good. I am a fan of Kate Rudd, she does a great job on all the voices, especially the male voices. She reads with emotion and has a great reading voice.

Fabulous story and narration..

I really enjoy Alison and her friend Hana. It's like the immediate world wants to kill Alison Brownstone and in each book it's impossible to keep track of how many bad guys she kills, with her magic and her magical artifacts that help her along*********

There was, again, no romance and the F-bomb was used 46 times**********

As for the narration: You can't do better than Kate Rudd. She's one of the 5 best female narrators.
