About this listen

She’s going to change his world, whether he’s ready or not.

Jinx minds her own business. Being a witch who specializes in magical tattoos brings all kinds of riffraff to her door, and she does everything in her power to send it on its way. A crazed sorcerer wanting her help is just another Tuesday, but the intimidating, handsome werewolf who hunts him down spells trouble with a capital T. Todd - intense, sexy, so annoyingly sure of himself - is exactly the kind of guy she loves, as long as she can leave before it gets serious.

Todd only does serious. He keeps the pack in order for the alpha, regardless of the trouble they find. The last thing he needs is a wild card witch bringing her chaos and tattoos and distracting curves into his orderly world. But the beautiful Jinx casts a spell on him that he can’t shake, even when the pack should come first. She promises the kind of life he’s only dreamed of, if he can convince her to stick around.

Jinx doesn’t know who to run from faster: the evil sorcerer bent on trapping a witch, or the dark-eyed hero who tempts her with family and security and normal life. Todd wants her to be someone she’s not, and she needs him to be different, too. Can their mismatched hearts fit together, or is her spell of good luck running out?

Loving the Twist

Once again Ms. Nash has captivated my imagination with an unusal romance. It is refreshing how each character is clearly its own personality and each couple's story is uniquely untraditional. I look forward to more stories.

Good Addition But Some Issues

Like the others this is overall a good addition to City Shifter Series. Good plot and good character development for most of the characters. I have a couple issues with this story. It seems like they never actually talked until the end of the story. This Todd doesnt mesh with the Todd we meet prior to The Pack subseries ( could jus be stress) but the Todd we get glinpses of in the series came across more playful and relaxed nit the gruff straight laced guy we get here. I was so hoping for a dominate female at some point in the series. Jinx was strong and confident like several other women but like all of them all we see is her being submissive or "bratty" in bed. Its mentioned she would top him but we arent ever given actual scenes of this which I found disappointing. Spoilers below***

I was left with some loose ends such as who is Mercy's mate, does Silas get returned to normal, and what happens with Dodge's baby? I call them loose ends but Idk if there will be more books. Also I don't like how her running away was framed like she was in the wrong and had no reason to run and had to apologize ( could she have handled it better yes but Todd wanted an apology and didn't seem to really acknowledge that he was in the wrong for assuming and making a bunch of plans with out actually discussing it with her. Acting like he had no clue why she would be upset and flee. Her saying she wanted to try for long term didn't mean an auto yes to all HIS plans. He seems to have learned by the epilogue, but never really apologized.

Overall, still a good addition and I'm still eager for the next book oin this series or a new one about the City Shifters.
