Publisher's summary

Managing the Value Lodge in her hometown was not what Anna Gordon had in mind when she set out in the hospitality industry. But it's a safe choice for a woman whose childhood was anything but stable.

Out of the blue, she gets a once-in-a-lifetime chance to reinvent herself by moving to New York City, where she hopes for a management position at a stylish new boutique hotel. The big city is full of surprises - not the least of which is Sean O'Neil. Her childhood crush has applied for the very same position!

Sweet, romantic, and endlessly entertaining, this romp through the storied streets of New York City will enchant listeners. Melody Carlson has created characters so charming that listeners will long to meet them in the lobby of the stunning Rothsberg Hotel.

Great characters

This book was very entertaining. The inner monologue of the main character got a bit repetitive and annoying at times, but the narrator did a great job making you fall in love with the characters and gave you a great visual to go along with the stories scenes. I do wish the male characters thoughts would have been narrated. I would even love to hear the entire story again but through his eyes and inner monologue.

huge build up for quick ending.

Main Character too emotionally dramatic for me to relate too. Love at first meet type of book.
I do appreciate it was G rated. Ive enjoyed many other books by her and this has been the only one I Am not a fan of.

I love Melody Carlson's writing but...

this was just too cheesy. The main character was supposed to be this beautiful professional. But the reader made her sound meek, hesitant and weak. The ending was rushed and unrealistic.

Didn't want it to end

This story hit home on many levels. I felt like I was in reliving portions of my early life in New York. Believable with great descriptions to make you feel like you were right there with them. A well narrated story that holds your interest by the captivating Jennifer Grace. This was a magical romance and I enjoyed it from start to finish.

A Good Clean Read

Most romance novels follow a very predictable formula. You know from page one who the romantic couple will be, due to the fact that they can't stand each other. But this one was different, and in a very good way! The person of interest doesn't show up right away, for one thing. And for another, the conflict required (or face it, you don't have a plot), is more plausible than most. I've read several books by this author, and have never been disappointed! The narrator did a very good job too! Enjor!

Clean r9mance

While I am a huge fan of the author, this was not one I would recommend or read again. It just doesn't have the character depth as others I have read. The characters seemed immature, selfish, jealous. It just didn't seem to have much plot. I do love that her books have God in them and the romance is clean, this one included. I suggest reading her other novels. This is the first I didn't really love.

Stupid, Slow, Snoozer!

Since I love Jennifer Grace as a narrator, I gave this book a try. Her narration was the only saving grace of this book! I actually did fall asleep several time listening to it. Most certainly do not recommend this author!

Horrible

Worst 10 hours spent. The entire book was a lot of “telling me” instead of “showing” for example “Anna smiled really big” I can’t really describe how bad it was. There was no romance, no love, no climax. Try it for yourself you’ll see
