Publisher's summary

Formula for fairy-tale love: one adventurous heroine + one tortured but noble hero = happily ever after. Once upon a Princess Duet includes two paranormal romance fairy-tale novellas.

For all the innate complications involved in finding the secret to blissful fairy-tale love with shape-shifters, two wise and discerning princesses trust their hearts instead of their eyes and fall in love with the unlikeliest of princes.

Heart of Stone

In the ruins of a country destroyed by a curse, Princess Leesa goes looking for a way to help her people. Desperate to find an item of value to trade for supplies, she trespasses into an abandoned palace. There, she finds more than she bargained for when she encounters a lonely gargoyle who offers to provide her with everything she needs...for a price.

A gargoyle, Willem is dreadfully lonely and longing for human companionship. Promising the beautiful Leesa riches, he begs her to stay with him for a time. With so many to provide for, she can't refuse and soon learns that looks can be deceiving.

The steep price to be paid to break the spell that cursed him into existence as a gargoyle may be more than Leesa is willing or able to pay. But her choice offers no second chances: Either she gains back what she's been mourning, or she loses everything she's ever wanted...for all time.

Beauty and the Faun

In order to settle their debts, Kayla's rich uncle and aunt arrange for her to marry an ill-reputed prince from another land.

The idea of marrying someone she's never even met holds no appeal for Kayla. Planning to hide in the Great Forest, she meets Del, a faun shifter who looks forward to teaching her a few things about life and love.

Even if she's fallen in love with Del, how can she hide from her duty to marry the prince, when her own mother will suffer if she refuses?

Interesting story

I liked both stories and the narrator was good as far as reading for the female characters; but I have yet to find a narrator who can read both female and male characters that made the story engaging for me.

The first story with is its twist on Beauty and the Beast was a very good story and the second twist on Cinderella wasn’t my cup of tea, I really don’t like mixed shifter stories. All the same the story was a good one, my personal taste aside.

Loved Once Upon a Princess Duet

I loved Once Upon a Princess Duet. They are fairy tale retellings, paranormal romances with HEA. The stories were good. The romance and/or sex scenes were erotic and steamy. I wanted to keep listening. The narration was good. If you like fairy tales, paranormal romance, erotic scenes, HEA, you might like this book.

two times the paranormal romance

A really good paranormal romance duet. Two completely different story lines on each and both provide a heartwarming HEA. Narration was really well done on both. Good flow and good characters. A little predictable in the story lines but still good. I especially liked the first "Heart of Stone" storyline with the enchantments, rather a spin on beauty and the beast. Definite character chemistry and heat to be found but it's not over the top. Overall I think these two were definitely a sweet treat for my afternoon!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Absolutely Wonderful Fairy Tales!

2 Stories in one book, This Audible book was a nice light and airy Fairy Tales with a lighthearted vibe to it. Perfect during this LONG Coronavirus Stay at Home time. The Narrator did a good job on this book and I really enjoyed the Various Characters in both of the Stories!!

Fairytale Romance

This book contains two short stories based on well known fairy tales. The stories have been expanded from the original tales and rewritten for an adult audience.

As the framework both stories are common knowledge being based on a fairly tales, it is the details and interplay between the two main characters that makes up the meat of the story. The author does a good job of fleshing this out.

The narration is good and the sound quality is clear.

A nice, quick listen. The stories both contain sexually explicit material and are not recommended for children.
