About this listen
CIA operative Titus Ray is supposed to be enjoying his time off after a grueling mission.
His division head specifically told him to go home and have a good time with his family.
But then, in the middle of his daughter's birthday party, when he receives disturbing news about an imminent threat to Americas heartland, he postpones having a good time with his family and agrees to lead a joint FBI/CIA operation to the southern border. How could he do otherwise?
He couldn't have a good time when . . .
A group of terrorists have access to a new bioweapon . . .
The CIA has specific intel about an imminent biological attack on Americas heartland to be carried out by a group of terrorists already in the country. Unfortunately, the group entered the country illegally, and their location is unknown.
A notorious terrorist leader is heading for the Texas border . . .
When the leader of a Hezbollah-trained terrorist group arrives in Caracas, Venezuela, and joins a caravan of migrants making their way across Central America to a border crossing in Texas, the CIA believes the mans intentions are to meet up with the other terrorist leaders to plan the final stages of the attack.
An opportunity to prevent a mass casualty event is available . . .
Titus agrees to do the unthinkable and make sure the terrorist leader is allowed to cross the border unhindered, so he and his operational team can follow him to his destination and prevent the attack. Even though Titus believes his training and skills are up to the task, ultimately, he has to rely on his faith, his prayers, and Gods guidance when the mission reaches a critical stage and his very survival is at stake.
Is Titus up to the challenge of working with a slightly unhinged operative from his past?
Can he bring together a team of misfits who have trouble getting along with each other?

Arie claims she’s been sent to help, seeming almost supernatural in her ability to lend aid. But what tragic family secret ...

Story
A perfect murder… until it isn’t. Paying homage to the queen of mystery, Agatha Christie, this contemporary whodunit weaves an atypical tale of illusion and intrigue set in the picturesque Amish enclave of Paradise, Pennsylvania. A year ago, still haunted by the tragic events of September 11, Tina Sheng reluctantly served as a Christian summer camp counselor in Paradise. Now working as an insurance fraud investigator in nearby Lancaster, Tina, along with her quirky friend Amelia Pak, finds a series of internet posts about a faceless doll that appears with each occurrence of death. Could have been a short story
I enjoyed this book but there was a lot of filler with Titus going on and on about his curiosity and trying to find out facts he would have been made aware of the next day. I liked this book but feel that it could have been a short story.

A fantastic audiobook
This story was fantastic! The Titus Ray Thrillers are really fantastic stories and this one was the best one yet. The narrator was really good and I loved his narration of the story. I always have to read or listen to a Titus Ray story right away and this story was hard to put down. I am going to patiently wait for the next Titus Ray story to come out even though it will be a hard wait time!

One good time?
How can Titus have a good time at home when there is supposed danger a short way away from his hometown? Titus can't ignore this threat because it could affect his wife and daughter. I enjoyed this next book very much. It's fun to hear the voices of his friends as they work together to neutralize the threat. Mr. Newman is a favorite narrator. I am amazed he keeps the same voice inflection for all the characters. I was given a copy of this story. This is my voluntary opinion.
