Publisher's summary

The wrong man never felt so right....

Ex-fighter Reed Miller has been secretly lusting over his best friend's girl for months, but he refuses to jeopardize a friendship over a woman - especially one who doesn't like him all that much. Now that Darcy's on the market again, it's even more imperative to stick to his strict hands-off policy. But the sizzling attraction between them is too powerful to ignore, and once he's had a taste of her...all bets are off.

Darcy Grant is tired of walking the straight and narrow path. She's on the hunt for passion, and there's no denying Reed is just the man to give it to her. Although she has no interest in dating a bad boy, and certainly not her ex's best friend, it's impossible not to melt beneath Reed's skillful touch. Now it's just a matter of setting a few ground rules - and hoping her rule-breaking, sweet-talking bad boy agrees to follow them. But if she lets Reed into her bed, does she stand a chance of keeping him out of her heart?

Super sexy!

Oh wow! Reed and Darcy were so flipping good and super hot! They have that love/hate thing going on in the beginning, but oh yeah it becomes more. I actually loved the awkward friendship with A.J. too. The narration on this book was perfection! Joe Arden is so good and carries the book alone and that's no easy thing, plus his accent in this is on point.

Really enjoying this series

It's nice to see that bad boys can be good guys underneath all the gruff.

Communication is key

Elle Kennedy never delivers a book that isn't amazing. One Night of Scandal kept me listening from start to finish. She took a common theme and turned it into her own with hot sexiness and a nightclub feel. The plot is pretty predictable but the characters are completely memorable.

Joe Arden is amazing. This book is told in 3rd person so he had to handle all the female speak as well as the male and that can't be easy but he didn't make me miss having a female narrator at all.

what a graceful quite ending for this two but one almost failed to see the love . Also came very close losing it all.

Overshadowed by miscommunication and insecurities

“Like the dumass she was, she’d gone and opened Pandora’s sex box.”
This was longer than novella 1, lacked the MMA excitement, and was loaded with unnecessary conflict. Their angst in the ex getting together with his best friend? His feelings of inadequacy?
Her being convinced he was a player who wasn’t looking for anything longterm?
All of it could have been spared if they talked to each other like adults.

I liked the Big Brother volunteerism and the camaraderie with the other MCs. Mr. Arden sells the
dirty talk, even if it felt like a scrapper from the streets like Reed should have been more salty than sweet. Not a bad listen, but also not a great one.

Typical

I really wish that people would use a different story line. Love interest come in without anyone hearing. The other person is talking to friend. The love interest hears enough of the conversation to get the wrong idea, and leaves before they hear how much the other love them.
Then they go do something stupid like go try to hook up with someone else.
Please get more inventive. I think that line has played out.

3rd person yuck!

Why oh whyyyyyy did Elle Kennedy write in 3rd person?

The story is decent but couldn’t really enjoy even though Joe Arden did a wonderful job narrating. It would have been so much better even if he read both parts but not in 3rd person…

Not worth it, maaaaaybe as a book?
