Infuriating at times with Poppy but love the story

What did you like about this audiobook?

I love the content. A thriller and drama saving our wildlife.

How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?

It is a thriller but also at times comedic. Very serious saving the animals but how she goes about and constantly making mistakes is hard to listen to. The story all of them are outstanding.

Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?

I have listened to the Orcas and the one where she was in Costa Rica. I like them all. Great story, I keep getting hung up on the seriousness of the subject matter and the foolish stuff Poppy keeps doing. All the mistakes that Poppy make. They infuriate me. She spends too much time apologizing. I love her and her storyline but too much like Stephanie Plum when there is so much to lose when she does something dumb. Plus she is way more capable then Plum.

What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?

The narrator is excellent. One of the best coming from someone who listens to hundreds of audiobooks. Rebecca Roberts is excellent.

Do you have any additional comments?

The subject matter and the story in this book all of Kimberly Bindschatel’s books are awesome. But the character Poppy infuriates me. In the real world, she would be getting people killed. I am not sure it is a drama or a comedy, probably just that a comedy. But, the plight of the animals makes it hard to find what she does to be funny. Some very serious situation she and Dalton are in and time after time Poppy is just doing something extremely stupid. I am not sure she is trying to be Stephanie Plum acting dumb hoping to be rescued by Ranger but Poppy has more skills and is extremely competent. That is why listening to this book, all of her books drive me crazy, but I do love the storylines. This is my third one, I am not sure I can take anymore. I do so like the stories and the content.

Almost the edge of my seat!

I will definitely get the next book to listen to. Its pretty fun. She's a tad stubborn and does things her own way, I have wanted to club her and say "You IDIOT! " more than once but that's the beauty of these stories, they always work out!
