Lexi Blake usually can't be beat for erotic suspense. This time; however, I saw everything coming way ahead of time. Also, Harry and Winnie don't leave me with the feeling that they belong together as do most of her protagonists.
Alexandra Shawnee did much better job at narration than I first thought. The farther it went on the more she (or the characters) improved..

I love Lexi Blake and Alexandra Shawnee and this one was top notch! The characters are great and the writing is so good. Alexandra Shawnee is one of my favorite narrators as well. I got a little lost in the story every once in a while but overall great. Can't wait for the next one!

It has a very good mysterious storyline but lacks the detailed sex scenes I’ve come to expect from Lexi Blake. I hate that she’s changing. I bought all her books in these connected series plus her co-written ones with Ms Black. But I’ll have to think about just buying more without finding out what category they fall in. I love the erotic like sex but with an in-depth storyline.

The narrator is too grating for my taste. Sing-song-y delivery with occasional high pitched squeaks. It was especially annoying for the so-called erotic scenes. This book was predictable from the start. Happy I didn’t waste a credit on it.
