You think you’re getting another cute love story…boy are you wrong. Morally gray, stalker, obsessed MMC…YES PLEASE!! Brandon and Andi freakin CRUSHED this performance. So freakin good

One of the best audiobooks I’ve listened to this year!!

We're introduced to the FMC, Aubrey, when she's just finished a half-marathon. She's exhausted and feeling fantastic about what she's done and looking to achieve more. Cue the patronising boyfriend who is in direct contrast with the loving support she gets from her family. Wolf, the MMC makes his appearance not long after at a family BBQ, because he's a friend of her brother. He sees an interaction she has with the boyfriend and that's all he needs to hear to know the guy is so many types of wrong.

That sequence of events sets things in play for the rest of the story. Wolf basically stalks Aubrey from then on, but engineers things so that she appears to be making decisions of her own free will. That might be poor phrasing on my part, but he certainly sets up offers and opportunities for her when she needs them, and will be of great benefit to her. She always has the option to say no of course, but Wolf is on the periphery and too compelling to resist.

Aubrey is a strong FMC who was to have a thoughtful and positive impact on the world with her work. She's also a curvy, athletic woman, and what a great representation that is. I was taken by her noticing the other women at work were decidedly NOT like her, but without the insecurity. She notices it as a 'hmmm', calls it out to a couple of people, and then just gets on with things. She's comfortable in her own skin, and I love that for her.

There's a whole lot of stuff that happens that I won't describe here because spoilers. Suffice to say there is a HEA after some angst on both their parts - and rightly so. It's fascinating when Wolf's backstory comes out, and we get the explanation for his need for control.

I read this book first on kindle, but had to grab the audio version to see what it was like and in short, WOW. Andi Eloise and Brandon Francis take this story to a whole new level. This book was a great read, and an even better listen. Kudos to the author for this pairing, because Andi and Brandon did a fantastic job.

You need this book in your life and in your ears. A wonderful rom com with amazing banter and wonderful twists and turns! Along with all of the exciting stories, and backstories cannot wait for the next one Tess! Cannot express the amazing narrators that nailed it Andi and Brandon bring the book to life, and make the spicy scenes even spicer! 💜🖤🌶️
