About this listen

Paige Dannenberg has never taken a water aerobics class. As a busy farm vet, she's never even given a second thought to water aerobics. But when she gets roped into teaching her mom's class, it's time to learn a new skillset—and fast.

Lately the unexpected is the new norm for Seren Winters. She's single, four months pregnant, and trying not to worry about where she'll be living by the end of the year. Still, the last thing she expects when she shows up for her first doctor-prescribed water aerobics class is a hot butch instructor. Even more unexpected is accidentally dunking her.

Despite an undeniable attraction, Seren is sure dating Paige is a bad idea. But can Paige change Seren's mind before her two weeks teaching the class is up?

Contains mature themes.

Couldn’t stop listening to this book 😁

Very sweet story with lots of heat. A butch/femme feel with pregnancy & cute baby cows.

Jamie Clevenger is a no-brainer!

I really enjoyed this book. The old ladies, water aerobics, cows, and black cats! Jamie Clevenger’s writing is always so good, and Abby Craden narrating…What’s not to love!
I do agree with some other reviewers that an epilogue and gender reveal would have been a bonus. Maybe there will be a sequel!

Such a sweet story

I’ll be honest I cried… but the whole buildup and follow up was amazing. I love Jaime Clevenger’s writing and adore Abby Craden. It was a slam dunk.

Excellent!

Over the Moon with You is a FF contemporary romance set in Davis, CA. The main characters are 37 year old, veterinarian, Paige, and 38 year old, message therapist, Seren. Seren is also pregnant through IUI. For the most part, I loved this book. I didn’t want to turn it off. I thought this book had the best initial getting to know each other chemistry of any FF book that I have read. My biggest complaint with many FF books is that the love interests usually just seem like friends who suddenly jump into bed or decide to get married. That didn’t happen here. The dating felt organic and authentic.

So why the 4 stars? The first 80% or so of this book was 5 star worthy. It was fantastic. But then, it lost momentum and the pacing was off. It almost felt boring there for a bit and just didn’t have the same feel as the previous writing.

Something weird that I will mention is that the character names felt wrong. They seemed to be mis-named. Like Paige should have been the name of Seren’s character and vice versa. I have never had that happen to me in a book before where I kept getting the characters mixed up just on name alone. The characters themselves were very well written and fleshed out, but the names just didn’t fit in my mind. I had to make a little saying in my head each time the name was used to remind myself. I kept saying, “Page the vet, stat” to remind me of Paige each time the character names were used. Obviously, that has no bearing on my rating.

I wish there would have been an epilogue, but it was HFN and that was nice. I do wish that they would have shared the sex of the baby after it was born since it was a discussed topic throughout with Seren wanting to be surprised and all that.

The narration was wonderful. I think the narrator had good voices and made each character sound unique.

Over the Moon with You is my first book by Jaime Clevenger and after finishing this book, I can tell you that it won’t be my last. I will be looking the author up to see what other books they have and giving those a try.

Overall, I rate this book as 4.25 stars, rounding down to 4. It was such a strong start and middle, I am bummed that it didn’t finish as strong. Despite that, this was still a great book and I will definitely recommend it to others. It is worth a credit or the cash price. I will listen again one day.

I wanted more!

The love story is pretty and honestly I stayed with book because of Paige. A beautiful human being, kind, patient - sometimes too patient with Seren, no BS and unnecessary drama. And how much more adorable can a baby cows lover be?! ❤️
Seren…ugh…I struggled a little bit with her petulance and i want/i don’t want a relationship. To make peace with it - cause I wanted to drop it at some point - I thought that the character was intentionally written like that, to emphasize the changes in pregnancy are not just the body, but the emotions, wishes, fears can be overwhelming. If that was the intent, I’m fine with it.
Abby Craden…nothing to add! Perfection!
