About this listen
Nobody should have to live in chronic pain—including you! Don’t let another minute of your life be consumed by physical and mental suffering. Discover how to transform your pain today!
The alarm goes off and for a split second, you wake up with a positive feeling that this is going to be a new day. Before you have barely had time to open your eyes, the pain hits you. Whether it’s a slow dull ache burning in a certain area or a shooting pain that hits you with a jolt…it’s a stark reminder of what lies ahead in your day.
It’s draining, it’s depressing, and regardless of what you have tried, nothing brings you relief.
Countless people find themselves in the same struggle, searching for the key to a pain-free life.
According to Boston University, approximately 20 percent of the world’s population is living with chronic pain. That’s one in five of us not living life to its potential, simply because we can’t.
Military duties left Col. Strand with a ruptured disc in his neck, a broken tibia and fibula, and numerous surgeries. He was already struggling physically and emotionally before his diabetes diagnosis. He knew something had to change!
This book was born out of years of living with chronic pain and exploring methods to overcome it. And now, you can do the same—take control of your pain and rediscover your power.
In this complete guide to chronic pain, you will discover:
- A profound understanding of chronic pain and how it doesn’t just affect the body, but also changes your brain and emotions
- What to do when emotional stress, anxiety, and depression accompany your chronic pain
- The symptoms of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome with management strategies and treatment options
The first step is the hardest. It takes everything you have got to fight through your pain, and the last thing you want to do is waste time and energy on methods that don’t work.

In order to foster resilience and change perspectives, Strand blends practical techniques with emotional candor, drawing on his experiences in the military and his own battles with CRS. With sympathetic tales and motivating strategies, the audiobook emphasizes the link between mental and physical health. You don't have to live with debilitating pain
I appreciate Colonel Strand's advocacy of helping others be free from pain when conventional means fail. He tells about his time in Iraq and how his pain journey began. His pain became unbearable sought a better way.He provides a plethora amount of advice and stories to help prove his claim. If anyone knows pain it is Colonel Strand. The narration was engaging and delightful.

Journey From Struggle to Strength
This audiobook was great - it felt relatable and practical, offering a thoughtful perspective on living with chronic pain. The part about how pain affects both your body and emotions really clicked for me - it gave me a new way to understand what I’ve been going through. The strategies for handling emotional stress along with physical symptoms stood out because they were realistic and not overwhelming to try. If you’re looking for something that helps you move past just getting through the day and toward feeling stronger and more in control, this is a great resource.
