Mystery bookstore owner Tricia Miles learns that nothing kills a good party like a murder in the latest entry in The New York Times best-selling Booktown Mysteries.

I enjoy Lorna Barrett writing and this is the first time I have listened to the books. I will not listen to another book of this series. Karen White's reading is flat and annoying to hear. I am unable to finish listening to the book and it is only the first chapter.

Lorna Barrett has done it again. I love the direction in which the story is moving. Tricia is still jinxed, but, happiness is on the way. The mystery was well developed and very interesting. All of the supporting characters are engaging and contribute to the story to keep the series fresh. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I enjoy every single book. Was totally not expecting the Villain in this book surprise ending.

After the huge bombshell ending of the last book I wasn’t sure how the story could continue. But wow, this book was even better. There are many changes in everyone’s lives, and many that genuinely shocked me. What I love about this series is that it’s realistic. All the stories & plots feel authentic, and this isn’t a series where everything magically works out. It’s honest, it’s gritty & it’s real life.
The mystery was so beautifully woven with twists you’ll never see coming. Bravo Ellery, this was another home run!

While I’ve enjoyed the entire series; this was the best installment yet.

Pixies endearing character has become a delightful addition to the village; I can hardly wait for more.

I love this series! And Karen White’s narration is so good. In later books (thru Book 16), the narrator is different and I end up not liking Tricia and Angelica nearly as much as in this book and earlier ones. Tricia seems too stiff and unfriendly in later books and Angelica is a nasty know-it-all. Maybe I’ll have to stop listening to the Audible version of Book 17 and read it on Kindle so that I’ll go back to liking the characters again. I don’t know why they switched narrators. I wish they hadn’t. Karen White is very good.

I really like this book. So shocked at the ending, as I was sure it was someone else! This series has totally sucked me in!!!

Didn't Disappoint!

but I will even though I was screaming at my phone for the Myles women to move their businesses somewhere else and give Stoneham the finger. Stoneham might think Trisha is a jinx, but her life hasn't been easy since she got there either. I don't know how much more she can take. The author doesn't appear to like her and is getting downright sadistic.

I really struggled to get into it. I nearly quit. I enjoyed the end of the book. I think I would have liked it better with filer information on prior books in the series I have not read.
