Can a pickup line from a stranger completely change the way an ordinary man sees himself?
Adrian wouldn't have thought so, but after an ugly breakup where his self-esteem took a serious beating, he's willing to try just about anything to repair the damage...even return to a secluded bar in rural Maryland and the intriguing stranger whose words have been on his mind since they met.
Biker, bouncer, bartender, and tattoo artist, Wyatt is a rolling stone. After 15 years, he is tired of a life on the run, but he isn't sure he knows how to do anything else or if he has anything besides a physical relationship to offer.
What's supposed to be a one-off turns into another and another, and the relationship looks promising until the mob and the FBI come knocking on Adrian's door.

Nick J. Russo does not disappoint!Power Bottom? has enjoyable narration with great character voices and spot-on pacing. I have yet to find an audiobook narrated by Russo that wasn’t a treat to listen to.
Told from both Adrian and Wyatt's POV the story centers around their relationship, Adrian's job and life issues, and the mystery surrounding Wyatt.
The story opens with Adrien trying to bring a spark back to his relationship and pretty much failing. Adrian's feelings are realistic...there's a moment when Adrian's boyfriend is drunk and brutally honest and...damn, but it was emotionally merciless.
What follows is Adrian going outside his comfort zone in order to prove, if even to himself, that what the ex said was, well, maybe not wrong, but that he could be different.
Adrian gets together with Wyatt and it's wonderful, but Wyatt is only able to commit to one weekend every couple of weeks for hot sex. Adrian agrees and they quickly come together (pun not intended) many times. But Wyatt's past is always lurking and, after fifteen years of being on the run, he's not prepared for the feelings he has for Adrian or what he needs to do about it.
But when Adrian needs him, Wyatt steps up to the plate, and knocks a home run. They were sweet together and I was very happy with their HEA.
The story may require a little insta-love suspension of reality, but it is an entertaining romance with some mystery, a little light angst, lots of hot pound-you-into-the-mattress sex, and a sweet HEA.

I really liked both main characters and really enjoyed how well they complemented and contrasted with one another. In the opening chapters, Adrian suffered a harsh break-up that left him spinning. His character had this amiable sort of quirkiness and vulnerability that made him very relatable. At times his attempts to be confident were awkward and funny, making him that much more endearing. Wyatt proved to be Adrian’s opposite in most ways- from his easy going confidence to his wandering lifestyle, but they were great together. I really liked how the chemistry between them steadily built and I absolutely loved when Wyatt’s sweet, steady side came out immediately to soothe Adrian. Their compatibility made it easy to root for this couple. The hook-ups were as sweet as they were hot. However, they didn’t have a straight forward path to a happily-ever-after. The conflicts that kept them apart were a little far-fetched, but not so much that I was rolling my eyes. In the end, it added just enough stress and angst to the book to keep things entertaining. The pacing throughout the book was brisk but never rushed. It made for an easy, pleasurable read that kept my focus from start to finish.
Nick J. Russo delivered a great performance for this dual point-of-view story. It was easy to follow along with the dialogue and his inflections and pacing made for a nice listen. If you are a fan of audiobooks and looking for an easier romance with just a touch of angst, this title and narrator won’t disappoint.

Poor Adrian is so, sweet and gets his big heart stomped on right at the beginning. But instead of crawling away and hiding for weeks, he’s so brave to try again. Luckily he finds The. Nicest. Guy. Ever. In Wyatt. Wyatt is just a refreshing breath of air. He’s honest, hot and open. Exactly what Adrian needs.
Neither of these guys expected something as big as what they got and that felt really authentic. I teared up several times as poor Adrian puts himself out there so bravely.
The “mystery” is pretty predictable, but I don’t think it was meant to be a big secret. It helped to drive the plot but didn’t detract from the romance. Perfect! I loved the secondary characters – Bev and Furlough and Alpha, Beta, Charlie and Delta, too!
I think this was a case where the physical stuff actually helped move the story forward, because it showed us bits of both characters and how they grew closer each time they met, so while there is quite a bit of physical stuff, it all seemed to be needed and it was all hot (after the parts that were awkward and funny!) and then really tender. Again – perfect!
I really loved this and highly recommend it!

What could make this wonderful story even better? Nick J Russo!
Man! He absolutely aces this! He gives Wyatt this super yummy growly voice that is soooo wonderful! Listening to this only added to my enjoyment because Nick was able to capture Wyatt’s “image” so well with his voice. He also gave Furlough a voice that I wasn’t expecting but actually suited him to a T. The narrator found unique voices for all the secondary characters as well, and I thought his choice for Adrian was excellent, too.
Highly recommended!

Would you consider the audio edition of Power Bottom? to be better than the print version?
Didn't read the print version but I loved the Audiobook. What did you like best about this story?
The way these two men, polar opposites, complement each other as a couple. Wyatt needs someone to ground him, to give him a reason to stop running. Adrian needs someone to tell him how special he is, someone that not only wants but deserves the attention Adrian gives.Have you listened to any of Nick J. Russo’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have and this is just as good as anticipated. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No, it wasn't necessarily a "move you" kind of story. More of a slow burning love story.Any additional comments?
What a fun read! The synopsis pretty much says it all. Adrian and his worthless boyfriend break up and Adrian's ego is bruised. He finds himself back at a bar in the middle of nowhere where a big, burly, sexy dude propositioned him not too long ago. From the first night, these two kind of already realize that they are in so much trouble with each other, feelings get involved quickly, but they are powerless to resist.Add in a bit of drama and suspense, FBI agents that are bound and determined to pin something Adrian has no part of on him, a mob chase and a pissed off mountain of a man laying claim to what is rightfully his... yeah, like I said, this book was amazing.
Nick J. Russo is fastly becoming a favorite narrator for me. He has dozens of tones and inflections in his repertoire that make listening to him telling stories such a treat. I really enjoyed the burly growl he used for Wyatt.
I kinda hope there's a follow-up to this book. I'd love to see where these characters are out a few years down the road.
