Amazing series ended

This is a really great series and I’m sad that it ended.
I’ll miss Zoe & Gus and I’m sure their characters will live on in my mind for a long time. I like how things ended with Hope.
The final place in the mountains seems ideal and beautiful. Sad that so many died in this final book. Spoiler alert here: I knew Gus wasn’t dead! I didn’t even cry because I just knew.

I feel like the people from the compound should have been dealt with differently. I thought they should have stayed & fought for the place instead of running again. The lives lost when they ran didn’t feel like something out beloved characters wouldn’t have done.
I think Boggs got a bad reputation in one of the previous books and needed more of an opportunity to redeem himself. I didn’t hate him as some reviewers did.
I definitely recommend this series to any zombie, apocalyptic book loving person.
