Publisher's summary

Graphic Audio proudly presents the saga that starts it all - the epic adventure that reveals the roots of Preacher.

Before the legend of Preacher there was the man and before the man there was the boy.

In 1812, 12-year-old Art is a boy filled with wanderlust and raw courage. He runs away from home to begin a journey from Ohio westward. Along the way, he’ll run up against badlands and bad men. He’ll lose his freedom, gain his freedom, fight in the bloody Battle of New Orleans and learn the first rule of the frontier: do whatever it takes to survive.

With ruthless enemies after him - both white men and Indians - Art will head for a place as brutal as it is beautiful - the wilderness of the Rocky Mountains. The trail he rides will transform the boy into one of the most feared and admired men of his time...a man called Preacher.

Performed by Mort Shelby, Colleen Delany, Richard Rohan, Terence Aselford, Ken Jackson, Nannette Savard, Christopher Graybill, David Coyne, Karen Carbone, Johann Dettweiler, Thomas Penny, Tim Carlin, Elisabeth Demery, James Konicek, Dylan Lynch, Cate Torre, Andy Clemence, James Lewis, Eric Messner, Lily Beacon, Michael John Casey.

early life of a man named Preacher

Great book. Don't know why it took Right books to finally get the early story of Preacher. It was very interesting and it explained a lot about the man and how he lived his live without turning outlaw or Owlhoot to survive.

PREACHER

This Book goes back and shows how Preacher got started. This could have been book one. It explains a lot. A must read ( Listen) to if you like Preacher. This book has a feel that was like the ole preacher books that I grew up on. I just never heard this one. Preacher ( Arthur) (Art). He leaves home and meets a Harding a guy going down the river. Then he has all kinds of other adventures. He learns how bad people really are. The kid doing Preacher's voice did an excellent job. This is a movie in your mind style of book with several narrators.
